"Amanda has done a fantastic job walking and looking after my two dogs over the past 3 months. I was stressed about leaving my dogs for so long whilst I was overseas but Amanda put me at ease and regularly sent me updates and photos. It's obvious that Amanda is an animal person. My dogs who can be quite particular both love her. Highly recommend her services "

"Cristina looked after our nervous Rhodesian Ridgeback Hendrixx. She really worked with him to get acclimated and kept me up to date on his reactions and behaviours. She sent through several photos. Highly recommend! 5 Stars! "

"I booked Lili last minute because I had to do something in town and needed someone to take care of my 5 month old Aussie Shepherd pup Twig for an hour and Lili responded really quickly and cheerfully. Lili's communication was truly excellent. She was thoughtful, friendly and super easygoing. She picked up Twig and took her for a walk to the park and then brought her back all in perfect time to suit our timetable. Twig immediately took a liking to her and happily followed her off, when Twig returned she was relaxed, happy and obviously had a great time as she tried to follow her when she left! I would definitely recommend Lili to anyone and will book her again in a flash for a walk or to house sit. Thanks Lili!"

"Liat did a wonderful job with our sweet doggy, she treated her with a lot of love and care and made sure she was safe, well cared for and had a long walk to use up all of her energy. Liat was on time, responsible and dependable. We can't thank Liat enough and won't hesitate to book her again. "

Lives with Groodle DLO
"Alex is great! She instantly bonded with our 5 month old labradoodle Chewie, and genuinely loves dogs. We have now used her a few times, both for dog walking and for doggy daycare, and I have no hesitation in recommending her to others. She kept me updated with photos and video and Chewie has obviously been having a great time, and I felt very comfortable leaving him with her.
She is easy to communicate with and responded promptly to messages, and has been accommodating of our needs. Her place was also doggy heaven for Chewie, with a large backyard to run around in, plenty of shade and easy access in and out of the house, and that day he had a friend of similar size, age and temperament to play with. I met both her parents who seem very nice, and were pleased to have Chewie stay with them."

Your dog walking questions answered
Why should I book a dog walker?
All dogs need daily exercise and play, but many of us are far too busy with work and errands to give our dog the walks they need. This is where Pawshake can make life much easier for you and healthier for your dog.
How much is dog walking in Sydney?
Hiring a dog walker is much more affordable than you might think. Our walkers set their own prices, so the total can vary depending on the length and distance of the walk. But you will find the total to be roughly $10 a walk.
Where can I find a dog walker in Sydney?
You will find dog walkers not only in the inner city and Eastern Suburbs, but also in the Northern Beaches, Western Sydney, Southern Sydney and all other surrounding areas. Wherever there is an experienced dog lover with spare time, you will find a Pawshake walker.
Who can be a dog walker on Pawshake?
We only accept applications to Pawshake that are of the highest quality. Some of our community members are veterinarians or vet nurses, or students who are studying animal training. Others are retirees and families who love being around dogs, but can't own one long-term.
