I became a cat sitter because I genuinely love cats — and because I’ve been exactly where you are. My own cats have relied on wonderful sitters over the years, and I know firsthand that particular mix of guilt and worry that comes with leaving them behind. Having recently lost one of my senior cats, I understand more than ever how much these animals mean to us.

When I meet a new cat, I always take it slow and follow their lead — my goal is simply to make sure yours feels loved, safe, and at home while you’re away.

In my day job I’m a Registered Nurse, so I bring a calm, attentive presence to everything I do. I’m experienced administering cat medications (oral and injections), happy to follow special food regimes, and behavioural quirks are no problem. I’ve recently looked after Pesto — an extremely charming black kitten — and fostered Momo, a sweet tabby kitten who got along beautifully with my own cat Jake. :)

If you’re in North, West or South Hobart, Hobart, Glebe, Battery Point, Sandy Bay, Mt Stuart or Lenah Valley and you’re after once or twice daily 30-minute home visits, I’d love to hear from you!

I have done dog and other pet sitting in the past and now my baby is growing up and I have a bit more time, I'm getting back into it&nbsp;
I grew up on a farm and have always had dogs, mostly large active-breeds such as Bull terriers, staffys and heelers. I have owned Cockatiels and Budgies as well as chooks.&nbsp;
I owned a beloved indoor rabbit for 8 wonderful years and understand how delicate and amazing these pets are and how hard it can be to find suitable carers for them.&nbsp;
I am offering pet sitting both in my home, or if you live in my area, at your home. As a teacher - I have had a full criminal history check and police check.
Pets I can accommodate at home are rabbits, guinea pigs and caged birds (who will be kept totally separate from my cat and child in our spare room) and very friendly dogs who are ok with toddler cuddles and chickens.
I can do home visits and walks in the greater Glenorchy area. Please note that dogs will need basic training such as sit, down and not to be terrible pullers.
I will feed, groom, administer medication, walk, play, hug and love your pet like it is my own! I understand that it can be scary to leave your pet with someone new and will do all I can to make the process stress free for you and your pet. I will follow all your pet care instructions and send you daily updates with pics and videos.

Hi! I'm Shaelee, an animal lover and I am currently in my third year of studying for a Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Tasmania. &nbsp;

I have two cats of my own, with my eldest requiring regular medication, allowing me to feel comfortable in administering pet care as well as providing medication. I gained valuable hands-on experience working as a kennel hand at a pet kennel. I've always loved animals and have cared for them my whole life, never not having a pet growing up including big dogs, small dogs and cats. 

Whether it's a daily walk, playtime or feeding them while you're away I'm your person to provide your pet with love and attention :). While I can't accommodate pets in my home due to my cats, I'm able to do day visits/doggy day care at your home within their familiar environment. I have cared for Kelpies, Smithfields, Staffies and little sweet gentle golden years boys. I have also cared for rabbits and Guinea pigs in previous lives

We live in South Hobart, near the corner of Strickland and Huon roads, giving us easy access to huge sections of on-lead walking tracks and short drives to Kingston dog beach and other magnificent off-lead play areas. Our place is fenced and secure, with plenty of shade and space for the little creatures we love to run and explore and play. I have an all weather suitable Ute for transporting hounds in style and comfort

Originally from New Zealand and France, missing our dear pets back home is what first drew us to petsitting. Since then, we have pet-sat around the world, from anywhere between 2 days to 3 months - anything is possible if it's the right fit! We truly adore animals, from cats and dogs to parrots, iguanas, and chickens - it is such an absolute joy for us to spend time with and look after your pets as if they were our own.
We're a professional couple working in the city, and without the means to have our own pets at the moment, it is one of our greatest joys to look after your beloved pets of all shapes and sizes! Outside of our (almost) full-time jobs and hanging out with furry friends, we love hiking, rock climbing, and camping when we get the chance. We're also both artists, so when the weather doesn't permit the above, you'll find us doing photography, crocheting cardigans, or just hanging out playing card games with a good cup of coffee.

I’m Amelia, based in South Hobart, and alongside running my little apothecary, Mils Market, I’ve always had animals woven into my life. I’ve cared for energetic border collies who need both stimulating walks and gentle reassurance, as well as Maine Coons and domestic cats with their own unique personalities and routines. I love spending time with animals, whether that’s long walks, quiet company, or simply making sure they feel safe and loved while their people are away. I’m attentive with feeding and care, and I know how important it is to stick to their familiar rhythms. I’m also happy to water plants, dust, or do a few dishes at a small cost — the things that help you come home with ease and comfort, as well as providing you with photo or video updates of your cat or dog on request. My mother loved animals, and my father loved outdoor adventures. My sisters and I inherited those loves. We grew up near the beach in Melbourne, and that's where we took our dog twice a day.&nbsp;
Our long-term pets were a dog (Labrador/border collie), two cats, lots of chickens, and occasionally rabbits and other small animals. We rescued baby birds, and kittens illegally dumped in the coastal reserve. My sisters grew up to be vets. In my teenage years I often looked after, and walked, neighbours' dogs.&nbsp;
I like small dogs, but big dogs are my favourites. I live near the beach in Sandy Bay, Hobart. There is a dog walking beach in the mornings near my home. Of course there's another well-known dog beach at Kingston. Dogs on leads are permitted in the bush reserve uphill from my home.&nbsp;
