Growing up surrounded by pets, I developed a strong understanding of their needs, personalities, and the care they require. I have 10 years of experience caring for a variety of pets, including dogs and cats. My experience includes feeding, grooming, administering medication, and engaging in enrichment activities to ensure pets feel happy and secure. I have worked with pets of all sizes and temperaments, including energetic breeds and anxious rescue animals, tailoring my approach to suit each pet’s unique needs.

I only accept vaccinated pets to ensure the health and safety of all animals in my care. I home visit dogs and cats where I will offer a pet-friendly space ensuring the safety of pets, providing plenty of opportunities for exercise and play. G'day, my name is Jacob and I have been looking after pets, mainly larger dogs for the best part of 20 years. Growing up in QLD, I had a Border Collie named 'Charlie' and I now live with a fantastic and lovable black German Shepherd named 'Jethro' who loves other dogs and is very sociable.&nbsp;I am married and currently live in Somerville with a nice sized backyard where your pets can play and burn some energy. We usually have our dogs sleep inside for comfort and security but if your pet rather the outdoors, we have a kennel as well that can be accommodated for. We walk Jethro daily and let him off-leash at our local park where he runs around and enjoys chasing his ball.&nbsp;We are happy to accommodate for small and big dogs alike as we have plenty of experience with both. I am a hard-working, dedicated person who is currently back studying full time as I am preparing to change careers. I love animals and would love the opportunity to assist looking after your pet as I understand that sometimes it is the only option. I believe strongly in meeting your pet beforehand if able to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible with us caring for your furry loved ones.

Hi, I’m Tahnaeya! New to Pawshake but not to Pets! Animals have always been a part of my life, and my passion for caring for them began with the many pets I grew up with. most of whom came from difficult beginnings. They taught me compassion, patience, and the importance of giving every animal the best care possible.
With over 15 years of hands on experience in the animal industry, I’ve had the privilege of working across many different areas of pet care. I started out volunteering at animal shelters and wildlife rescues (where I am a committee member and continue to support animal welfare and rehabilitation.) I then spent two years at a boarding kennel and cattery where I gained invaluable knowledge about animal behaviour. From there, I went on to become a professional dog groomer for 7 years at a corprate store and even ran a puppy school to help new pet parents set their pups up for success. More recently, I worked as a veterinary receptionist, giving me further insight into animal health and wellbeing.
I’m currently still grooming dogs and cats while filling in at the vet when needed in Keysborough, while also offering dog walking and once or twice daily home visits. As I have special needs pets at home, I don’t offer overnight stays or boarding, this way I can give your pets my full attention when I’m with them. I’m fully vaccinated and hold a certification in puppy training, so you can feel confident they’re in safe, knowledgeable hands.
When looking after your pets, I treat them as if they were my own. Whether it’s a fun walk to burn off energy, a cuddle and feeding visit, or simply keeping them company while you’re away, I tailor my care to their unique personality and needs. And of course, I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and little stories so you never feel far from your furry family.
Outside of animal care, I love crafting, being outdoors, and spending time with my Husband, Two Sons, and our own pets.

Hi, I’m Bianca!  I’m 25, I'm a crim/psych uni student and have always had a soft spot for animals of all kinds. Growing up, I was the go-to person for looking after friends’ and family’s pets, and I’ve loved caring for everything from playful puppies to gentle older cats. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when you’re away, so I treat every pet like they’re my own—with patience, love, and plenty of cuddles. 

I’m currently saving up to travel and also to work towards some long-term personal goals, and pet sitting gives me the chance to do that while spending time doing something I truly enjoy. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just keeping your furry friend company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.
