Hi, my name is Lana, I am a stay at home mum, with my 7 and 10 year old kids. My family and I have been caring for pets on the Central Coast for several years, from the safe, spacious and loving environment of our family home. As we don't have pets, all the attention and love is given in full to your precious furbabies:)&nbsp;
(Note: Although we do not have pets of our own, we are a popular pet sitting service, so it is likely there will be other friendly playmates around when your dog stays with us)
How our journey began - a few years ago, my kids asked me to get a puppy for them... Given my experience, I knew how that works, and the responsibility required. Normally kids will be engaged with the pup for the first few months, lose interest, and then it becomes your responsibility...I simply was not ready for another baby :) and by coincidence, a few days later my husband saw an advertisement about petsitting.. and we thought: "Why not give it a go???" So I did...:) It was a win-win for everyone. Everyday our kids come home and get to play with different dogs, they just adore them... over time we have had a lot of return customers and we feel as if they are part of our family...
We have a house with a secure backyard, big enough for dogs to run around and fully enjoy their getaway :)&nbsp;&nbsp;
Located just behind the Westfield, Tuggerah, and literally 2 minutes from the M1 Motorway, which is very convenient for those travelling north from Sydney or south from Newcastle/Hunter/Port Stephens and North Coast regions.&nbsp;

Hello! My name is Yvonne, I'm a 27 year old British backpacker who moved to Australia 6 months ago. My previous job roles were in education as an early years childcare practitioner &amp; secondary school teacher of Spanish. 

Since moving to Australia I have worked in various hospitality roles &amp; was introduced to pet sitting/dog walking by family friends. As a lifelong lover of animals it immediately interested me &amp; ignited that passion for animal care once again. I have experience in pet sitting &amp; dog walking in the Central Coast and Sydney area &amp; having grown up around dogs &amp; cats as well as having my own when I lived independently in the UK so I'm well used to caring for them. I like to give regular updates to owners so they can relax knowing their little ones are being well loved and taken care of and I'm attentive &amp; responsive to what each dog/cat needs so they are comfortable and happy during their time with me.

I am a responsible, reliable and respectful person who loves to be active; I am a keen runner &amp; enjoy long walks &amp; hikes in my free time. I intend to stay in the area until July when I will continue my travels and hope to keep building on my experience in this area &amp; apart from pet sittings, any work I'm currently doing is from home as a private Spanish tutor. 

My services include: 
Dog walking; $15 for 30 minute walk
 $30 for 1 hour walk
 ($4 per additional dog) 

Pet sitting (Staying at owners home and includes complete care of the home &amp; all owner specific house care): $35 per night 

Checking in on pets/feeding: $15 per 30 minute visit (this includes any additional reasonable tasks required within the time frame chosen such as bringing in mail &amp; watering plants).

Based on my personal beliefs, I think that I would make an excellent pet sitter. I've been raised with many pets during my childhood which has made me a very caring and responsible person towards people and animals alike. I would say that I am also very organized and good at managing my time, which are important skills for a pet sitter to have. 
One of my strengths is my ability to connect with animals. I have a natural ability to read their body language and understand their needs. I'm also very patient and gentle, which is important when working with animals. I'm not afraid to get down on the ground and play with them, or to give them lots of love and attention.
In addition, I'm very reliable and trustworthy. I take my commitments seriously, and always follow through on my promises. I am also very communicative, which is important when working with pet owners. I'm not afraid to ask questions or provide updates, and will always make sure that everyone is on the same page. 
My experience when it comes to pet sitting goes years back, this includes mostly doing favours for neighbours and friends with animals that struggled to meet their physical needs and was always willing to lend a hand and help out.
Being a pet sitter can be a really rewarding experience. Not only do I get to spend time with some furry friends, but you also get to help their owners out by taking care of them when they can't be there, plus, It can be a great way to make some extra money on the side. 
While taking non-vaccinated animals into your home comes with some risks, I am more than happy to do so. That being said, it's important for me to take precautions when taking in non-vaccinated animals. If so, I will be sure to keep them separate from my own pets, I am also aware of the risks associated with non-vaccinated animals, Overall, taking in non-vaccinated animals can be a rewarding experience that helps animals in need, but it's important to take precautions and be aware of the risks involved.
One of the best things about being a pet sitter in my opinion is the opportunity to build relationships with the animals I care for. I get to learn their personalities, play with them, and give them lots of love and attention. It's also a great way to get some exercise and fresh air, especially when I'm taking dogs for walks. 
Another benefit is the flexibility. I can say for certain that I am available to work pretty much around the clock most days. This serves as a great option for people who have busy schedules or other commitments. Plus, it's a great way to get some experience working with animals as I'm hoping to advance my career in veterinary medicine and animal care.
