I have 11 years of experience in pet and house sitting across Darwin and Palmerston areras. I enjoy getting to know each pet, as every animal has a unique personality, routine and way of communicating. Creating a calm, safe and trusting environment is always my priority. I ask owners about their pets’ behaviour and preferences so I can adjust my interactions to suit their needs. Importantly I always follow all owner instructions for diet, medication, treats, and routines (feeding, walking, and rest times). Give the pet space when I first arrive—let them come to me when they’re ready. Some dogs are cautious or shy. Send photo updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe.&nbsp;
I walk for one hour every morning at 5:30 am and again in the afternoon around 4 pm, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily exercise routine. I work full time (8:00–3:30) and I am always home by 4 pm at the latest to spend the rest of the evening with your pets by walking along the beach (if the owners allow), playing with thier favorite toys, relaxing and watching TV or eating dinner together.&nbsp;&nbsp;
I don’t charge much—but I treat every booking with full responsibility, as if it were my full-time job. I take photos of pets and send their daily updates to owners if the owners would like them.&nbsp;


My motivation to become a pet sitter is the fact that I love animals, I think the bond that a person can have with a pet can be stronger than a person.
I have experience as a volunteer that had the purpose of feeding community dogs in the university I got my degree, after being there for almost 6 months they offer me the chance of being in charge of it with 2 other people.
My responsibilities were feeding and walking 4 groups of community dogs inside of the university (4-5 dogs each), 3 of them were part of it while 1 group was dedicated for stray dogs (adult or puppy), we gave them temporary home while we found new owners as well as taking them to the vet in case it was necessary (mostly all of them).
We also took some of the dogs home in case the weather got worse, the dogs that stayed in the university were monitor and checked on turns by the volunteers.&nbsp;


I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life . Over the years, I’ve had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, and ducks, which has given me a broad understanding of many different temperaments, needs, and routines. This lifelong experience is what motivates me as a pet sitter: I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved when their owners are away ️.

I am a reliable and caring pet sitter with over 5 years of experience looking after dogs and cats. I currently have two well-trained and friendly dogs, Reo and Olive. Olive is a rescued dog from a previous owner where he was mistreated and very shy and scared. With patience, care, and love, he has now become confident, happy, and part of my family—I treat both of them like my sons.
This experience has taught me how to handle anxious, scared, or rescued pets with a calm and gentle approach. I understand that every pet has a different personality, and I always take time to make them feel safe and comfortable.

Hi there! I’m McKenzie, a massive animal lover and happiest when I’m around furry friends. I currently have a cat who is my absolute world 

I’m super active, so I genuinely enjoy long walks, runs, beach trips, and park adventures, perfect if your fur baby loves getting out and about! I also love switching up walking spots to keep things fun, enriching, and mentally stimulating for dogs.

When caring for pets, I like to stick to a consistent daily routine based on what they’re used to. This includes regular feeding times, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I have quite a flexible work schedule, which allows me to be home more often than not, mostly starting late mornings through to early evenings. I will also try to involve your pet in all other weekly activities, such as visiting my grandma or grabbing a coffee with a friend. 

While I don’t have formal pet sitting qualifications, I’ve done plenty for friends and family over the years, from daily walks to overnight stays. I’m confident handling pets with different personalities and energy levels, whether that’s high-energy dogs who need lots of activity or more relaxed pets who prefer a slower pace and extra cuddles.

I’m very patient with nervous or shy pets and always let them warm up to me at their own pace. I focus on creating a calm, safe environment and use gentle, positive reinforcement to build trust. This has showed many times when I have taken in strays or lost puppies. I’m also happy to follow any training routines or commands you already have in place to keep things consistent.

In terms of safety, I take it seriously and your pet’s wellbeing is my top priority. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I’ll contact you immediately and seek veterinary care if needed. I always make sure I have your vet details, emergency contacts, and clear instructions before care begins so I can act quickly and confidently if anything arises.

I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own... safe, loved, and well looked after. I truly believe our pets are family, and I’ll care for them to the best of my ability. If I’m caring for pets in my home, I do ask that they’re fully vaccinated to keep everyone happy and healthy
