About Daisy

A house with pets is a home.

I genuinely love getting to know animals and making them feel safe, calm, and happy while their humans are away. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved companions with someone new, and I take that responsibility seriously.

I’m responsible, organised, and respectful. I’ve completed many successful pet-sits and know the drill: your home will be left exactly as I found it — linens washed and dried, sheets changed, surfaces cleaned, bins taken out. I provide daily updates (more if you’d like), and I tailor walks, play, and companionship to your pet’s needs.

While I’ve only owned dogs myself, I have a real affinity for cats — independent, observant, and wonderfully particular. I’m also comfortable caring for birds and reptiles. One of my favourite sits was on a small farm in the Highlands, which included feeding tiny slivers of mince to a resident magpie named Tuxedo. He’d chosen to live with the humans who cared for him — and won us all over in the process.

I’m happy to administer oral medication and have mastered the art of disguising flea tablets in food. I’m also, I’ve been told, a professional-level ball thrower (my parents’ spoodle would happily confirm this).

Preferably, pets I care for are vaccinated.

About me

I’m a humanities researcher preparing to commence my PhD in the UK later this year. I currently work in a hybrid capacity, editing a history podcast alongside my academic research, and I volunteer in a Social Inclusion Program at my undergrad university in Camperdown (Eora). I also enjoy quiet crafts like knitting and crochet.

During this in-between period, I’m keen to pick up pet-sitting again, particularly longer stays. I’m calm, home-oriented, and attentive, which tends to suit animals who enjoy consistent company and routine. Working partly from home means your pets won’t be left alone for long stretches, and I’m happy to structure my days around their needs.
