Hello, I'm Irene. 

I was a post grad student at USyd when I first started pet sitting in Sydney. I've recently graduated and started a 9-5 job. It has been so much fun making a bunch of furry friends around the city. I don't have the resources to adopt my own pet at the moment, so this little hobby is how I get to still have animals in my life. While my time is a little more restricted now, I'd still be happy to help with weekend or evening bookings :)

Growing up I've always been around dogs and cats. I had a dachshund named Ruby when I was younger, she often took me on walks. I spent most of my college years at my friend's place, he had 5 cats and one rott-lab mix and I would often go over to either play with them or sometimes walk his dog. I've also had a few interactions with a rescue pup (Tofu) that another friend had fostered. Having Tofu slowly warm up to me and trust me was such a rewarding experience, he was a gem to play with.

In Sydney, I've now cared for several cats and dogs. A few are now regulars and honestly feel like extended family at this point. Each pet is different and it's important to understand what they need, based on their personality and traits, and for them to feel comfortable with me.

I'm used to walking small to large sized dogs, at the most two at a time. I have given oral medication before and can assist with that as well.
I can do home visits based on your requirements - either quick check ins to feed them or to stay a little longer and keep them company! If you need any help with basic tasks like watering plants, I'd be most happy to help with that too.
