I see caring for pets very similarly to the work I currently do in aged care. In my role, I look after people’s grandparents when their families aren’t able to be there, and I understand the level of trust that comes with that responsibility. I currently have an 11 year old pug and a 4 month old kitten that I just rescued. I have grown up with a variety of animals including guinea pigs, snakes, and rabbits. I'm currently studying for my Certificate II in Animal Care and I'm also volunteering as a part of my studying at my local Vet at Heathcote, NSW. After I have completed my 6 months of animal care at TAFE I will then do a bridging course for my Vet nursing which will go for a year and a half, after that I will be a qualified vet nurse.
