I live with my husband and our 2 beautiful girls along with our fur babies Coco (cat), Dolly (Guinea pig) and Cookie (Guinea pig). We also shared our home with a beautiful dogo called Bella until she passed last year, she was a cherished member of our family and we miss her dearly, so I also have plenty of experience with dogs too.
I have grown up my whole life surrounded by animals and have always loved caring for them and spending time in their presence. As I work to part time, I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to help care for your precious fur babies and I've had experience with providing simple chores when it come to pet care and also administering medications.
We are also currently fostering cats and kittens to help out animal rescues and to find these kitties a forever home.
My eldest (10) who also loves animals is keen to help me care for your pets and one day would like to have a career in animal care of some kind. This is wonderful way for her to start building on her passion for animals, she is very kind, loving, gentle and patient when it comes to all animals.
We would love to help care for your fur babies.

Hello!

My name is Kay, I am 28-years-old and currently work as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. Before I started studying nursing, I was studying to be a vet!
I have one cat of my own currently but grew up with cats, dogs, rabbits and rats, and have experience with birds and other small animals. I love getting to spend time and interact with animals, and seeing their different personalities.
I am advertising my services on Pawshake as I understand the need to be able to access reliable pet sitters to help look after your furry family member. As a pet owner myself, this is definitely something I rely on and need. I unfortunately do not take pets into my home as my sweet cat (Shadow) is not other animal friendly, however, I am able to come to your place and help look after your pet.
I believe this is better for the pet as they are in their own environment, and whilst they will probably be missing you, they don't have the added stress of being in a new place too. Don't worry though, Shadow won't be alone, I have a housemate who will keep her company! I always send regular updates, whether be just to let you know I've picked your furry friend up for a walk, or to let you know what we got up to during my visit. Rest assured, there will always be a message and a photo coming to you.
I do have a nerve condition that affect my wrists and causes pain, so you may see me wearing a brace or two depending on my pain that day (or the weather), but this does not affect the functionality of my arms and hands, and I can still go on fun walks or srcatch the good scratchy spots!
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions! I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon

Hi there! I’m a dedicated and experienced dog sitter with a lifelong love for animals. I’ve had dogs my entire life and understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your beloved pets. Although I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I have been a reliable sitter for many friends, family members, and especially my daughter’s dogs. I’m also a passionate walker, covering at least 10 kilometers every day — so your dog will enjoy plenty of fresh air, exercise, and adventure while in my care. I believe in creating a safe, loving, and fun environment where every dog feels comfortable and happy. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or simply a cuddle on the couch, I tailor my care to their needs. I also enjoy working with dogs on basic obedience training. I find great satisfaction in helping dogs build good habits through positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency. Whether your dog needs an active companion or a little extra guidance with their manners, I am committed to providing personalized care that meets their unique needs.

Hi there!
I’m a lifelong animal lover who has grown up surrounded by pets, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I understand how important it is to know your furry (or feathered!) family member is in safe, caring hands while you’re away.
I’ve owned a beloved dog for 12 years and a cat who lived to the wonderful age of 18. I currently have a playful 2-year-old cockatiel, and over the years my family has also cared for budgies, rabbits and guinea pigs. This has given me hands-on experience with a variety of animals and an understanding that every pet has their own unique personality and routine. I’m confident caring for dogs, cats and small to medium-sized birds, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual.
I offer dog walking, home visits and pet sitting tailored to your pet’s usual routine. Dog walks typically last 30–60 minutes and include plenty of exercise, enrichment and opportunities to explore, while always keeping your dog’s safety my top priority. During home visits, I’ll provide fresh food and water, clean bowls and litter trays or cages where needed, clean up after your pet, spend quality time playing or cuddling (if they enjoy it!), and make sure they feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away.
I know every pet is different, so I’m happy to adapt my care to suit their personality—whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and nervous, or simply enjoy quiet companionship. If your pet requires basic oral medication or has a specific routine, I’m happy to discuss their needs beforehand to ensure I can provide the best care possible.
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always come first. If I ever have concerns about your pet’s health or an unexpected situation arises, I’ll contact you immediately and follow any emergency instructions you’ve provided.
I also know how reassuring regular updates can be, so I’m happy to send photos and messages after each visit or walk, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
At this stage, I’m best suited to caring for dogs, cats and small to medium-sized birds. I’m available for weekdays and weekends by arrangement and will always do my best to accommodate your needs.
I’m reliable, patient and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet loves energetic walks, playtime or simply having someone sit quietly with them for company, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe and loved while you’re away.
I can’t wait to meet you and your wonderful pets!

Hello Everyone! My name is Alex and I love animals! I grew up with a dog named Harry and hemrit crabs hahah! Our family now has a pet named Teddy :) He is a Bichon Frise and gets along with both dogs and people. We want Teddy to have a play friend and also have more cutness in our home. Speaking of our home it is fenced and quite large both inside and outside. Teddy mostly is an inside dog but Teddy and guest pets can also do a walk around outside. We have experience in taking after pets from friends pets and other pets outside of Pawshake. My parents often take Teddy to the beach on Sundays and if you are open to it we can also take another doggy with Teddy and provide pictures. In terms of what I expect from pets
Dogs only: At this stage dogs only as Teddy despite showing no signs of agression has still not interacted with other animals besides dogs and don't see the point in taking the risk.
Size: Small dogs only at this stage.
Temperment: Friendly dogs only. We are fine with the dogs being slow, old and quiet or young and more energetic but the pet needs to be friendly. May request to meet up beforehand. More than happy to drive to an area to see how a potential new member of the family behaves.
Quantity: At this stage just one pet at a time. What you can expect from myself and the family: Teddy and a member of the family at home: If I am not at home Monday to Friday my mum will be. Very rarely there is just Teddy. On the Weekends there is always someone at home and I will make sure that any pet is very loved :)Lots of hugs and kisses :)
Walks: Mum usually does the walking and I usually do the running. Dependisng on the health, age and temperment of the pet we can do either.Food: We expect bed and food to be provided however we often cook Teddy fresh chicken. If this is something you want as well in addition to the food provided to us let us know.
Safe: As mentioned above we have a fenced house
Toys: We have dog toys but open to having new toys provided to us to make any pet feel more welcome.
Sleep: Pet will be sleeping in my bed or in a dog bed. Whatever the pet prefers.

Allow me to give your dog or cat the stretch, sniffs, and enrichment they need to enjoy their day and be their happiest self.
I’ve recently completed an RSPCA Pet First Aid course, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in safe, capable hands.
Having grown up with both dogs and cats, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I now share my home with two beautiful greyhounds, whom I absolutely adore. I’ve also fostered greyhounds straight out of their racing careers, supporting them as they transitioned into calm, loving family pets. Through this experience, I’ve gained confidence working with reactive and sensitive dogs using patient, consistent training.
Your dog’s safety is always my priority. I practise proactive walking by creating space from other dogs when needed, because while I trust the dog in my care, I can’t always predict others. This helps ensure calm, positive outings every time.
Whether you’re unwell, away from home, managing a busy period, or simply need an extra helping hand, I’m here to support you and your pet. I also offer home visits for feeding, companionship, and check-ins to ensure your dog or cat feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in your absence.

I want to be a dog walker because caring for dogs has always been a huge part of my life. I currently have Cleo my German Shepherd and Suki my Doxiepoo, so I'm experienced with both large, energetic dogs and smaller breeds with big personalities. Growing up, I had Labradors which founded my love for dogs.
I walk my own dogs for at least an hour every day, rain or shine, because I believe it's essential for their physical and mental wellbeing. Living in Melbourne I am used to all conditions and am confident to walk dogs of all sizes and energy levels, I always prioritise their safety and enjoyment.
I can run with young dogs and take a calm stroll with our grey angels. I will come with treats and doggy toiletries.
I am happy to walk your dogs, take them to the park, play fetch. Whatever you feel your dog needs, I will strive to provide.
Dog walking doesn't feel like work to me - it's something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in doing well.

As a dedicated pet owner I know not all pets are one and the same with their unique personalities and needs. When I sit or walk your dog I will be doing everything with this in mind. In order to do this properly I will not take on any bookings without a meet and greet to get to know your fur friend to make sure we are both a good fit for each other. I highly recommend coming to these meetings with lots of question as well as a list of your own expectations so we are on the same page with how I can best meet you and your pets needs. I am able to give medication orally, I am not trained in any other application to be aware (so no needles!) I will need to know the details of any medications how often and if you have a fussy pet when taking them! During each visit or walk I will share a photo update and a general snapshot as to how we went which I find is a great way to put you at ease especially while away. Any other questions or needs of my service please do not hesitate to ask

Hi, I am an active and energetic animal lover who has grown up around animals of all types and cared for them myself since a young age. I am eager to look after your animal whilst you are away and am flexible with my hours. I am a professional dog walker and would love to take on your furry friends.
I drive around in a wagon which allows me to take your pets to other locations like beaches and rivers for them to run, swim and play. I also live near Mont Albert Reserve which is a very well known place for people to bring their dogs of all shapes and sizes to run around and play. When looking after your pets I plan to walk them every day, train them (if needed), make sure they have food and water as well as going above and beyond for any other requirements that you may have or want. being out in nature and exploring new places is something I love doing.
I am always walking my dog to new parks and locations to take my dogs and can't wait for you to join the gang!
