Sometimes life can get really busy and you might find yourself a little short on time to walk your dog. Luckily with Pawshake, it is really easy to connect with thousands of pet lovers and find a walker in Kingston ACT who is available and waiting to help you out.

All of our walkers are vetted individually and every dog walker booking is covered by The Pawshake Guarantee so you can rest easy while they spend time with your dog. Additionally, your Pawshake walker will be from your local Kingston ACT neighbourhood and their profile also includes reviews from other pet parents.

Having a dog walker visit during the day is an affordable and great way to break up the day and make your dog’s day more interesting. Some of our walkers walk multiple dogs at once so this service is a great way for your dog to socialise and meet other similar dogs. However, if your dog prefers to be walked alone, you can also find Kingston ACT dog walkers who only walk one dog at a time. That way, the walks can be completely dedicated to what your dogs want – whether is a slow walk-and-sniff or a faster paced brisk walk around the block, our Pawshake dog walkers will be happy to oblige.

I’m an experienced and caring pet sitter who genuinely loves animals. I work in a government role, so I’m very reliable, organised, and respectful of other people’s homes and routines. I have just finished university and regular house - sat whilst studying.
I’ve looked after dogs, cats, and other pets for may years, and I understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable and happy while their owners are away. I’m confident with feeding, walking, playtime, and sticking to your pet’s usual routine. I’m also very happy to give pets extra attention and companionship so they feel safe and settled.
I enjoy pet sitting because I love spending time with animals and helping owners feel relaxed knowing their pets are well cared for. I treat every pet like they are my own and always aim to provide a calm, safe, and loving environment. Send me a message if you need any more information from me!

Hi, I’m Abby, a devoted cat mum based in Canberra! Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and pet sitting allows me to stay connected to the companionship and joy that pets bring. Since moving away from my family home, I’ve really missed having multiple pets around, which is why I’m excited to offer reliable and loving care to others.
I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats and have experience pet sitting for friends and family. I’m comfortable with a range of temperaments and routines, from energetic dogs who love long walks to more independent or shy cats who need gentle, patient care. My dog walks typically range from 30–60 minutes, tailored to your pet’s needs, and I always ensure they get both exercise and enrichment.
During home visits or house sitting, I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, playtime, litter or yard care, and plenty of affection. I also provide regular updates with messages and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away. I take care to keep your home secure and tidy, treating it with the same respect as my own.
I pride myself on being dependable, attentive and genuinely caring, and I would love the opportunity to look after your pet as if they were my own.

Hi, we’re Monique and Laxman—passionate dog lovers dedicated to providing a premium “home away from home” for your pet.

Monique has been surrounded by dogs her entire life and brings years of hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds and temperaments. While she serves full-time in Defence, Laxman is an engineer who works from home, ensuring your dog enjoys constant companionship and is never left unattended. Your pet will always have someone nearby, receiving the attention, care, and affection they deserve.

Experienced, Thoughtful Care:
We’ve cared for dogs at every stage of life—from energetic puppies to senior companions needing extra support. Through our experience working alongside certified trainers, we’ve also developed strong skills in handling different behaviours and personalities.

Our approach focuses on:

Positive reinforcement to encourage good behaviour
Patience and consistency to support anxious or reactive dogs
Individualised care tailored to your dog’s unique needs

A Routine That Feels Like Home:
We understand how important consistency is, so we closely follow your instructions to maintain your dog’s usual routine.

A typical day includes:
Morning: A refreshing walk through the open green spaces of Woden
Daytime: Relaxed indoor time with Laxman, including mental stimulation and plenty of companionship
Afternoon/Evening: Another walk or a park visit to burn off energy, followed by a calm evening
Owner-led care: Whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, or specific preferences—we stick to what works for your dog

Our home:

We live in a secure, escape-proof apartment in the heart of Woden. As we don’t currently have pets of our own, your dog will have our full attention—enjoying a private, safe environment where they can truly feel at home.

We’d love to welcome your furry friend into our home and care for them as if they were our own.

Having always grown up with animals around in my family, and an (unrealised) childhood dream of becoming a vet, I love any opportunity to care for pets. While I don’t have one myself at the moment, I come from a family of both dog and cat lovers (you don’t have to love only one of them!) and have experience training my family dog up from a young kelpie puppy to a well-trained adult dog.
Overall, I have plenty experience caring for and walking dogs, although I have minimal experience doing this as a ‘job’. As I don't have a dog right now, due to living arrangements, I would love the chance to walk and care for other dogs.
I'm flexible for timings across Friday-Sunday, am a reliable, kind and caring person to all pets alike, and am adaptable to whatever care needs your dog requires.
The opportunity to walk or care for your dog, small or big, young or old, would be my pleasure!

I’m Amulya, and my love for dogs and cats has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my parents didn’t share my animal obsession hence I never had a pet that I could call my own. So whenever our neighbors asked me to look after their playful Labrador, Harley, I jumped at the chance. Those afternoons spent chasing tennis balls down leafy streets, rubbing his soft ears, and watching her curl up contentedly at my feet felt like pure magic. From there, I began helping out the other families down the block, walking their dogs, feeding and entertaining their shy cats. Each new friendship reminded me how much joy and comfort animals bring, and I fell in love with pet-sitting.
Since moving to Canberra two years ago, I’ve sorely missed that furry companionship. Joining Pawshake feels like the perfect way to bring more of those joyful moments back into my life—and to share them with pets and their families who need a reliable friend. Whether it’s a brisk 30-minute walk through your neighborhood, an energetic game of tug-of-war in the backyard, or a peaceful cuddle session on the couch, I will pour my full attention and genuine affection into every visit.
I’m simply here to build a trusting bond, learn each pet’s unique personality, and make sure they feel loved, safe, and thoroughly spoiled while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member!
