Introduction
Good with both cats and dogs, as I've lived with both species as household pets. Would love to spend time with your pet, either by taking them for walks or spending time at your home playing with and grooming them. I find spending time with pets as a mindful, and therapeutic activity.

About serviceDog walking - Lasting from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your dogs comfort level. Happy to take them around the neighbourhood or to a nearby park where dogs are allowed.
Overnight stays - We can talk about specific needs for your pet, as well as any instructions you'd like me to follow during this stay. I have administer oral medication, but may need supervision on the first instance if medication needs to be injected.&nbsp;
Happy to talk about any other pet minding needs including short house visits that I can do each day to restock your pets food or making sure their litter trays are emptied out.


I have years of experience as a pet owner and as a pet sitter.  I grew up on an orchard and I have looked after and raised dogs, cats, birds, chickens and rabbits. I can offer to pick up and drop offs for $10 per pick up/drop off, within a distance of 5km.

As I love travelling I can't have pets of my own so I live through your pets instead! I have experience walking, feeding and looking after small and medium/large dogs such as labradors and border collies.&nbsp;
I am currently working full time in Thomastown but I start early and finish early so am available for dog walking weekday evenings, Friday afternoons and weekends. I am available for home visits to feed pets and administer medication. These home visits can be up to one hour long and I'm also available to water plants and bring in the mail. I am available for dog walking up to one hour per session. I can take the dogs for walks in local parks and let them run around off leash if you would like. I travel by bike or public transport and am flexible. At the moment I'm only open to house and dog sitting that is maximum 1 hour bike or train/bus ride from my work off Settlement Road in Thomastown.&nbsp;
I have experience dog sitting while house sitting in Melbourne. I live in Lalor with my husband, our big boy Bonham, he's a 3 year old 40kg doberman and 2 cats, Mia is a 7 years old tortie, Caesar is a 5 years old ginger boy!&nbsp;I have a full time job 4 days a week, weekends in particular, I am looking for something to do those 3 days that I'm not working.&nbsp;I am available midweek for house visits and looking after your pets, possible overnights with enough notice, but I cannot take care of your furry babies at my place unfortunately because I am renting.&nbsp;I work in Fitzroy so happy to help out anyone around this 2 suburbs! My partner Andy and I (Amy) have been dog sitting and dog walking for years using Pawshake in Europe with high ratings and repeat fur babies to look after. House sitting wise we are completely comfortable with having pets snuggle up on the couch and bed (if they are allowed) and are used to get kicked out of our own bed my our 2 fur babies. We are a big believer in patience and building up trust with dogs and want to see them show their unique personalities and smiles,

Apart from our experience dog sitting over the years my partner and I have had dogs while growing up, Andy actually grew up on a farm and has plenty or experience with all different animals. We now have 2 beautiful rescue dogs of our own, Muffin and Butters who we rescued from Romania and Portugal and safely relocated with us back here in Australia. I had a cocker spaniel as a little boy and have loved dogs ever since.
Growing up in Adelaide we always had pets in the house. 
We had dogs, cats, rabbits, birds even a tortoise out the back at one stage.
I went travelling to the UK in 2000, ending up in living there 24 years (mainly Liverpool) and have just returned home here in January bringing my wife Gillian and 9 year old twin boys Thomas and James.
Whilst we settle into life here I want the boys to have animals in their life in this way before we commit to staying permenantly and at such time possibly even get our own family puppy or kitten to bring up.
The boys also tragically lost their little 5 year old silver tabby cat Millie to illness soon after we arrived here so joining Pawshake to bring anilmals into their lives is my motivation of helping the healing process aswell. 
I see this as the ideal situation for us to have pets around to fuss over and spend time with.
The boys simply adore animals and have been around them all of their lives. 
We lived opposite a park in Liverpool just by Penny Lane and would look after many of the neighbours dogs.
Opposite the house here is Henderson Reserve and we are half way between Heidelberg and Rosanna with plenty of local parks in the area. 
The property is safely fenced off with plenty of outdoor space to play in.
I work for myself from home here and enjoy a walk 2-3 times a day.
Your pet will be entertained and exercised here and can just chill in the house if and when that's preferred!!
