Hi there. I am a veterinarian of 14 years. I work as a veterinarian specifically in emergency and critical care. I am currently on sabbatical from clinical work whilst recovering from illness (I am aok to pet sit!), and studying for professional exams. I am at my desk most of the day, so I can care for your pets so you can have a street free day or holiday away. I can provide dog walking (and harness trained cats too!) Pet vet visits, or pet sit at my home pending pet size and needs. I would be so happy to fill my study breaks with some pet time! It will help me get of the house to have breaks and I do miss all the pets I would normally see daily. (Please note I am not available for veterinary consults whilst I'm on study leave from my clinical role). I may be able to do in house sitting pending location. Why do I want to be a dog sitter?&nbsp;
Because I love dogs and I like helping paw parents. I know what it is like when you need help with your own fur baby and you need to leave them in the care of someone you trust. I appreciate the importance of that peace of mind they will be cared for while their paw parents are away.&nbsp;
I have myself used the services of paw sitters especially when my previous dog was old and needed company during the day. I am forever appreciative for that help and ready to be of service now.&nbsp;
What is my experience with pets?
I have had dogs my whole life because they make me happy and I couldn't live without them.
I have experience with rescue dogs (all my previous dogs except for the current one) have been pet recue.
I have experience with dogs of all ages. My previous dog lived until she was 19 years old and needed lots of extra special care.&nbsp;
I have also had dogs from puppy age.
I have looked after friends' dogs when they went on holidays.
I have also had cats for a few years.
When am I available?
I am currently not working, so available for walks or home visits during the day.&nbsp;
What services would I provide?
I am very active and will be delighted to take your dogs for a walk, have a play and give them lots of pats.&nbsp;
I will meet with you and your fur child/ren and will take a brief from you (get to know your pet; what they like or don't like; words they know; any special instructions).

Home visits: I will stay at least 30 mins. I will play with them, give them lots of pats, love and attention.
Dog walks: I will take them for a walk for at least 30 mins (time to pick up and drop off not included in the 30 mins). Preference would be to have them on leash. They can also have play time off leash with toys and balls in my garden.
Dog day care: I am open to providing this service. A lot would depend on how your dog gets on with mine (he is very friendly and loves to play) and on your dog's behaviour (my neighbours might not like excessive barking).

What is my neighbourhood like?
There are lots of dog friendly parks around Bentleigh East (King George Memorial Reserve ) and Hampton (Dendy Park) and of course the foreshore (Hampton).
I have a safe and large backyard.

I'm a huge animal lover and have years of experience both dog and cat sitting, and would love to help care for your furbabies with either dog walking or house visits.&nbsp;
For house visits I could come up to 2 times a day, and am happy to stay for an hour or 2 to ensure your pet has dedicated human social interaction (if they need it). I've also had experience in administering medications and am great at following instructions.&nbsp;
I'm a producer and work from home a 2-3 days a week. I'm also available on weekends / all weeknights.&nbsp;
I myself am the owner of a reactive german shepherd cross, Frankie, and I devote as much of my free time and energy as possible to helping her. We have come a long way in overcoming her fears, and we are currently developing skills for dog sports.&nbsp;
I'm great with training, and engaging with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I promise your dog will have the most fun going on a walk with me. We could visit different parks / environments and they will return home as one satisfied &amp; tired pooch.


I am a reliable and responsible person who loves animals, I grew up having pets at home (a hamster, a guinea pig, cats and dog), and I have 8 months of housesitting and petsitting experience (can provide reviews and references from previous pet owners). I like nature and walking, hiking and green areas, and I also have experience in training my dog and spending time with many other dogs. I am used to dealing with especially fearful or shy dogs, as I have patience and they soon trust me and approach me. I feel comfortable with any type of dog and I really enjoy training them and spending time with them.&nbsp;
DOG WALKS: I am used to being firm and strict with commands when needed but I always use techniques of positive reward with animals. I am used to walking long distances and a dog would be the perfect fellow to bring with me! I think being a pet sitter is the perfect opportunity to do a job and enjoy at the same time. I am available for casual dog walks or some walks every week (including weekends), since I work mostly from home. Usually, I walk dogs once a day, for 1 to 2 hours, but walking time can be discussed according to each dog needs. I can provide some training (ex. reinforcing commands or learning new commands).
PET SITTING AT THE OWNER'S PLACE OR DAY VISITS: Since I don't have a house available to bring the pets in, I offer pet sitting (night stay) at the owner's place or even one or two visits during the day. I have experience providing oral medication to dogs and cats so I'm happy to do this if needed. As I work from home most of the time I am able to spend time with your pets, so they wouldn't be left alone for long. As for day visits, I can come between 30 min to 1h depending on the needs required and price can be adjusted if you need me to stay longer.

Hi, Im Regina, I'm 41 years old professional and a Cat mum to a rescue tortoiseshell who thinks she is a dog haha and I am a regular dog sitter for furry pals too. I have decided to do professional pet minding and walking because I enjoy it so much - both walking and animals - so why not make some extra cash on the side while doing so.&nbsp;
I recently did a 5 week stay at someone's home looking after their groodle who needed me to stay everynight and daily with constant supervision and this included daily walking, feeding, grooming care, play time. Watering plants and taking garbage out and in is part of the service when I stay overnight.&nbsp;otherwise i do short stays too or just drop ins for daily walks! 
I am happy to pet sit in many different areas of Melb so long as its not too difficult for me to get to work if i need to go in. 
My regular jobs at the moment include regular dog sitting at my house a chocolate laborador. I love cats too and am very experienced with them having grown up with cats all my life including rescue cats with behavioural issues.

Ryan and I are from the UK and have recently moved to Brighton, Melbourne. Ryan is an accountant and I am a secondary teacher. We both love walking and being outdoors and are physically active.&nbsp;
We have had to leave our doggy (shar-pei/springer spaniel) Bruno back in the UK with his 'nanny' and therefore we would love to be able to help others and be around dogs in Australia. We obviously both have experience with dogs and are competent in all areas of caring for them. We would be happy to walk, or be able to help in any way. It would be desirable to be able to regularly look after the same dog, however we are open to one off walking.&nbsp;
