I currently care for a 14-year-old cat who is a "shy soul," so I have developed a gentle, patient approach to building trust with nervous or independent pets. I am also very experienced with dogs, having provided consistent care and walking for friends' and neighbors' pets.
How I provide care:

For Nervous Pets: I believe in letting them set the pace. I use calm body language, avoid direct eye contact, and offer treats or gentle play only when they feel safe.
Medical &amp; Health Monitoring: As a Registered Nurse(currently not practicing), I am highly observant. I check for any subtle changes in appetite, behavior, or physical condition, and will immediately communicate any concerns to you.
Feeding &amp; Routines: I strictly follow your specific instructions, including exact feeding times, medication administration, and household rules, to keep their routine as consistent as possible.
Structured Visits: During home visits, I balance playtime, grooming, and companionship. For dog walks, I prioritize safety and hygiene, and I’m happy to offer long walks to ensure your dog gets the exercise they need.

Availability:

Dog Walking: Early morning – 6:00 pm
Home Visits: Early morning – 8:00 pm
Available every day, including weekends and school holidays.

In my work life I've worked as an animal management officer and prior to that a RSPCA animal rescue officer. I love animals. I've grown up with dogs, birds, guinea pigs, mice, fish - you name it!
Currently staying back home on the Sunshine Coast where I grew up to spend time with family. I work remotely and use my spare time looking after animals. 
I have experience pet sitting in Australia, London &amp; Dubai. I have animal welfare experience through volunteer work for PETA Asia Pacific in the Philippines and at Sippy Creek Animal Refuge on the Sunshine Coast.

Hi there, experienced vet nurse here with over 12+ years working with all animals large and small. Only have my two cats in a unit up here so looking for other fur friends to take for adventures or to look after on my days off or before or after work.Love beach trips and forest walks, Ballinger dog beach is my local spot and always enjoy taking friends dogs down or pet sitting for friends.&nbsp;Happy and confident looking after all sized dogs, cats, horses, birds, pretty much anything that isn't venomous Being a long time vet nurse also comes with the bonus of being able to handle any of your children's medical, behavioral or more difficult needs if necessary. This also includes experience in physiotherapy and massage for recovering orthopedics/spinal and other surgeries or conditionsI can do morning and night home visits, pickup and drop offs with an hour or two at a time trips on days off.&nbsp;

Haha, in all seriousness I have an incredible connection when it comes interacting with dogs, cats and anything inbetween. I've grown up with many dogs in the past from rottweilers to golden retrievers and corgis to malamutes, no dog is excluded in my eyes and everyone deserves love and attention.
I find this opportunity to be both a learning experience as well as a sense of joy. I may not have previous experience with "Pawshake" however, I've had many experiences with animals regardless and everyone needs to start somewhere in becoming a sitter right?&nbsp;
