Our service is tailored for small to medium sized, female dogs with friendly temperaments. Your furry friend will experience a delightful getaway in a safe and loving environment. You fur baby will receive family-style attention and care, including daily walks (1km route in our leafy, hilly suburban neigbourhood), up to 2 daily meals, regular top ups of their water bowl, engaging playtime sessions and lots of pats and baby-talk. The family prefers if all pet food provided is beef free. Between dusk and dawn, you can choose whether they sleep in a kennel in the garden, or inside our home, just meters from the nearest dog-loving human.

Currently we are only looking after one dog at a time, unless there are two dogs who normally live together, then we can take both. As a management consultant, I work from home, so your dog will have a silent companion in me during work hours. Your four legged friend will also have the run of our large fully fenced, shady garden and lower deck areas (see photo gallery). I do have to attend meetings sometimes, so your pet will need to be comfortable being alone in the garden for up to 3 hours. Not to worry, the garden is fully fenced, the gates are secure, and your dog will always have fresh water, shade and a comfy place to lie down. I can administer oral medication, stick to your pet's dietary and bedtime routines, and make sure they get all the pats and attention that they would get at home.

Outside of 9-5, the house is full of dog lovers (my wife, kids and me). We have a reserve supply of socks, because we've noticed that some of the dogs we look after love pinching socks from the clothes horse. I think it's their way of saying it's time to play chasies. Both my wife and I are in our 40s and we grew up with pets, and it must run in the family because our adolecent kids love dogs even more than us. We really missed having a pet, so we've been volunteer-dog-sitting in one-week stints since 2021. References available on request.
