I have two dogs, a springer spaniel who is very high energy and sometimes a lot of work and loves to be taken on walks and an old miniature dachshund who is a lot quiet, and likes to lay in the sun most of the time, i also own a cat who i love and enjoy spending time with them. i'm a massive animal person and love to care and spend time with pets. I live with my parents currently so i am able to stay multiple nights in a row. I've grown up having animals my whole life so i have a lot of experience looking after pets such as walking them, playing with them and feeding them. I also work a full time job Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm, so pets would be left alone for approximately 8 hours a day during the week. I am available everyday/night to house sit but i do have a full time job so would not be home during the day unless it's the weekend :)

I usually take my high energy dog for a long walk of around an hour every evening after work or in the mornings on a weekend. Whilst i am working during the day I ensure that my pets are fed and let outside to use the toilet and have had time to interact with me before i leave the house for work. I usually leave my dogs inside the house to roam free but not everyone does!

I have a high level of experience in pet sitting and have cared for a variety of pets for different owners, giving me confidence in meeting each animals individual needs. I am experienced in administering medication by carefully following the owners instructions, whether that involves hiding tablets in food, giving oral medication directly, or applying topical treatments, while remaining calm and patient to minimise any stress for the pet. Having previously pet sat for numerous owners, i understand the importance of maintaining a pets normal routine, providing regular exercise, feeding on schedule and giving plenty of attention and reassurance. When caring for anxious dogs, I like to use a calm, gentle approach by allowing them to become comfortable at their own pace, avoiding sudden movements or loud noises, using positive reinforcement, and maintaining familiar routines to help them feel secure. In the event of an emergency, I would first remain calm and assess the situation, immediately contact the owner to inform them of what has happened, follow any emergency instructions they have provided, transport their pet to their nominated veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary clinic if urgent medical attention is required, and continue to update the owner until the situation is resolved. I am committed to providing attentive and responsible care; however, i am unable to accept bookings for pets that cannot be left alone for reasonable periods as I have a full time job and am away during the day on weekdays.

I provide daily updates if that is what the owner would like or I can send updates every couple of days with photos of how their pets are going!
