I’m Sabine, a 28-year-old Nutrition and Health graduate from the Netherlands. I grew up with dogs, both at home and through family and friends. From a young age, I took on the responsibility of walking our dog in the mornings and creating fun, extra challenges for them on the weekends. Later, I also spent more time around cats and fell in love with their cuddly — and sometimes spicy — personalities.

I have been pet-sitting regularly for the past three years, and even before that, I had plenty of experience with pets. I used to pet sit through the Dutch PawShake, which I sadly couldn't convert to the Australian one. Therefore, I have uploaded screenshots of reviews from former pet parents to my picture gallery. 

During high school, I interned with a veterinarian and at a dog shelter, where I learned how to administer medication and handle all kinds of dogs. I also studied veterinary medicine for 1.5 years, which gave me a solid understanding of animal health and well-being. I have experience with many different dogs — from large to small, and from energetic puppies to senior dogs. I have also worked with more timid shelter dogs that need extra time, patience, and attention.

My experience with cats is slightly less extensive, but over the past three years I have cared for several cats, including the young cat of a close friend. We learned a lot from each other! I even once had to bathe the cat because it had fleas (the owner had forgotten the monthly treatment). Everything went smoothly, and we’re still friends.

I enjoy walking or cycling with dogs and am flexible when it comes to walks or pet sitting. I can pick up your dog from your home for a walk or take care of your pet at your place.

As a child, I had guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters. I also have 12 years of experience with horses and am comfortable around cows, sheep, and goats. In short, whatever pet you have, I would be happy to care for them.
