Hi! I’m Rachel, a stay-at-home mum and lifelong animal lover. Our much-loved family dog recently passed away, and we really miss having a furry friend around the house. While we’re not quite ready for another dog of our own yet, we’d love to fill that space by caring for other people’s pets and giving them lots of love and attention. I enjoy having my friend’s dogs to stay and have done so regularly for many years.

I know firsthand how hard it can be to leave a four legged family member with someone else. Because of that, I always aim to make both pets and their owners feel comfortable and confident. I’m very happy to work with you to understand your pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so they feel safe and settled while you’re away.

Our dog was quite an anxious, reactive dog, so I have MUCH experience helping nervous pets feel safe and comfortable in a home environment. Our section is secure, and there are no off limit areas.

Because I’m home most of the day, your pet will have plenty of company and won’t be left alone for long periods. We’re also located right across the road from the Christchurch red zone, which makes for beautiful, quiet walks and plenty of space for dogs to explore, which they will get to do at least once a day.

I’m also comfortable caring for older dogs or pets with extra needs, and I’m happy to follow any routines or instructions to make sure they stay comfortable and well looked after.
