There’s something special about watching a dog truly switch off — nose down in the grass, ears up at the sound of the chickens, charging flat out across a paddock just because they can. That’s the everyday here at The Little Yellow Farmhouse.

We’re close enough to suburbia that drop-off is easy, but the moment your dog arrives, they’re in a different world. Seven and a half acres of green pasture, a fresh water dam, farm animals to sniff at, and three resident dogs — Tim our German Shepherd, Nike our Kelpie, and Monty our Beagle — ready to show them the ropes.

Your dog doesn’t come to stay with us. They come to join us. We’ve been caring for dogs our whole lives and dog sitting for 5 years — we know every dog is different, and we take the time to learn what makes yours tick.

What makes us different:

• 🐾 7.5 acres of fully fenced pasture with 1.5m exclusion mesh — safe, secure, and wide open

• 💧 Fresh water dam for dogs who love a swim

• 🏡 4 covered sleeping and rest areas with fans for summer, heaters for winter, automatic water bowls, and access to green grass — comfortable, cosy, and just right

• 🐑 Chickens, sheep, goats and cats — all in their own secure spaces, so your dog gets the full farm experience safely

• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 My partner and I are here full time, and our 14 and 12 year old kids are right in the mix — feeding, playing, and giving your dog all the attention they deserve
