Hi there! I'm Julia and I know how it feels to read these bios... everyone is a dog lover who loves cuddles and walks with dogs, me included! I have a dog myself and have stressed when trying to find a pet sitter who will be super responsible, follow my detailed care instructions, love and care for my dog as much as I do, and somone who will prioritise my pet. In this way, I can be your ideal dog sitter! 

What kind of pet sitting does Julia offer? I work 2 days a week as a receptionist while I am working on my Australian solicitor qualification so I am often home and would love an excuse to run around outside/go for a walk/have a cuddle. I have plenty of space at my house which is 3 bedrooms with a large back garden (fully enclosed, my own dog is an escape artist!) and in my house, dogs are 1000% allowed on furniture and wherever they want to be. If they want to have a nap on the bed, on the sofa, on my lap, that's all fine by me! If they like to lay on the floor, I will offer them any array of pillows/mats and regularly remind them they can also go on the sofa if that would be more comfortable for them. If your dog just want me to throw the ball for them over and over.. and over again, I shall! I know that every dog has its own personality and routine, and it's up to me to learn and adapt to what your dog needs! I have a car so I am happy to pick up/drop off your dog and will be able to take your dog to the park for funsies. If there's any emergency, I can also take your dog to the vet in my car. I have a dog cooling mat and aircon in my house for hot days. I am very flexible so feel free to send me a message about what kind of pet sitting you're looking for. 

Does Julia Know Anything about Dogs? Yes! I grew up with dogs and also have a super friendly, 8 year old Jack Russell named Rufus who lives with me and my partner. I have also pet sat for friends and have been referred by word of mouth to other people to take care of their pets, both at my house and at the owner's homes. I know how important a dog's routine for food and exercise can be and I know that each dog is different so what might work for my own dog may be different to yours and so I will treat them as individuals. I know how hard it can be to keep your dog healthy and at a healthy weight so I will follow your feeding instructions to a T as that's what I would expect for my dog. Rufus absolutely loves other dogs and playing but is also very content to nap/play/walk separately. Rufus does not like water and would sit in the sun and bake all day if he could, so I know all about paying attention to dogs to make sure they are staying hydrated and cool. For Rufus, he wasn't drinking enough, so I made frozen dog bone treats out of chicken stock (homemade) to help increase his hydration. Those would obviously be available to your dog if they can have them! I also have a pet pram for smaller dogs so if you have young or older small dogs that would want to be pushed around the park and let out to potter around, I am one step ahead of you!

What is Julia like? I am a UK-qualified solicitor and I worked on behalf of survivors of historic abuse which means I act and work with integrity, honesty, and responsibility as well as compassion and kindness. My partner and I moved to Perth in 2025 which is why I'm working on my WA law qualification. My partner is a teacher. As a person, I am very friendly and sunny, but never at the expense of being responsible and taking things seriously when needed. I am very into plants and growing house plants and edible plants. I love cooking good food, having hot drinks, watching Korean cooking shows, and DIY projects. I love Formula 1 and true crime podcasts. I keep my home very relaxed and clean and feel strongly that my home should be a welcoming space for human and furry visitors alike!
