JJack
Reliable and Caring Dog Sitter
St Kilda
About Jack
I’m a 28-year-old Irish teacher with many years of experience caring for dogs, and I’m now offering dog walking, day care, overnight hosting, and house visits for small to medium-sized dogs.
I’ve also owned both small and medium dogs myself, which has taught me how different each dog can be in their needs, comfort levels, and routines.
I’m calm, reliable, and genuinely enjoy getting to know a dog’s unique quirks. Whether your pup prefers energetic playtime, gentle strolls, cuddles, or quiet company, I adapt easily to what makes them feel happy and secure. Building trust with both pets and owners is really important to me—I always communicate clearly, send updates, and care for every dog as if they were my own.
As a CRT, my schedule is very flexible, so I’m home often and your dog will never be left alone for long periods. When I’m not working, I’m usually outdoors or in the gym, which means plenty of opportunities for walks, playtime, and fresh air. I’m also extremely mindful of safety: gates and doors are double-checked, leads are secured, and I always keep a close eye on each dog’s comfort and wellbeing.
I have both experience dog sitting with my partner and also worked parted time in kennels during school years walking and feeding dogs.
Services I Offer
• Dog walking – tailored to your dog’s pace and energy level
• Day care – a safe, structured, fun day with company
• Overnight hosting – home-from-home comfort with lots of attention
• House visits – feeding, playtime, toilet breaks, and companionship in your dog’s own environment
A Sample Daily Routine
Here’s an example of what a typical day with me might look like for your dog:
7:00–8:00 — Morning Wake-Up and Toilet Break
Gentle wake-up, outside for a toilet break, fresh water, and some morning affection.
8:00–8:30 — Breakfast and Any Oral Medications
Your dog’s breakfast is served exactly as instructed. If they need any oral medications, I administer them with care and patience.
9:00–10:00 — Morning Walk
A relaxed or energetic walk—whichever suits your dog. This can include sniffing time, light training reinforcement, and plenty of encouragement.
10:00–12:00 — Rest, Playtime, or Company
Depending on the dog, this time may be for napping, gentle play, enrichment toys, or simply relaxing with me nearby.
12:30–13:00 — Midday Toilet Break and Check-In
A short walk or garden break, fresh water, and cuddles.
13:00–15:00 — Calm Time and Companionship
Perfect for dogs who like routine and to have someone around. I always make sure they feel secure and comfortable.
15:00–16:00 — Afternoon Walk or Play Session
A second walk or a garden play session—ideal for burning off energy and keeping them mentally stimulated.
18:00 — Dinner and Evening Medications (if needed)
Meal served to your instructions, plus any meds required.
Evening — Relaxation and Wind-Down
A quiet evening with snuggles, belly rubs, and gentle company until bedtime.
Night — Safe, Comfortable Sleeping Arrangements
Your dog sleeps in the spot you prefer—crate, bed, or their own cosy space. I check on them and make sure they feel settled.
If you’d like to chat, ask questions, or see whether I’m the right fit for your pet, please feel free to reach out. I’d love to get to know you and your dog. 🐶💛
