I am a 39-year-old mother-of-two who has been living in Brisbane since January this year. We come from the Byron Bay hinterland, where our Persian X Tortoiseshell cat Bluebell still lives with my mum. 

As a child I grew up on 200 acres near the Border Ranges, where my parents ran a healing retreat. During those years we had many pets: dogs, cats, horses, goats, a shetland pony, guinea pigs, mice... but our most treasured pets of all was our rooster, Smartypants and our many, many chickens, who all had names and laid beautiful big eggs for us daily.

When I was ten one of our cats had six kittens and a couple of years later our dog had ten puppies and promptly abandoned them. My parents didn't want to take care of them so my siblings and I took it upon ourselves to find homes for them all. We named every single one and I even wrote a short story about the whole experience!

Reflecting on my childhood makes me realise just how much I love and miss having animals in my life. I house-sat over the Christmas period and took care of a cat and beautiful Keeshond, Scout. Since moving to Brisbane I started doing support work for a young woman in New Farm. Her gorgeous Cavoodle, Teddy and I grew very fond of each other and after a brief break, I went back and my client couldn't believe the welcoming reception he gave me! I felt like absolute royalty!

My aim now is to one day travel the globe with my children, whilst house and pet-sitting for people everywhere. And I want to start my journey with YOU! It would be an absolute honour to take care of your furry friends during the times you can't be there. Let me show you how I can help.
