Hello! My name is Erika.

I’m originally from Mexico City and I’ve been living in Australia since June 2014. I’m really excited to offer my pet sitting services to pet owners who are looking for someone reliable, caring and trustworthy to look after their fur babies while they’re away.

I’m a cheerful, calm and responsible person, and I truly love animals. Growing up in Mexico surrounded by many different animals, my grandmother taught me from a young age how important it is to respect, care for and be patient with them. I’ve always had animals around me, including dogs, cats, birds and fish, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life.

I currently work full-time in childcare in East Brisbane, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm. Although my work is with children, animals have always been a big passion of mine! I previously volunteered at RSPCA Wacol and have completed more than 250 hours of volunteer work at veterinary clinics around Brisbane City. I also completed my Certificate III in Animal Care Services from UQ, specialising in dogs and cats, in August 2024, and I’m currently in the final term of my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

Because of my studies and experience, I feel comfortable caring for different types of pets and understanding that every animal has their own personality, routine and needs. I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, tortoises and fish, and I’m also comfortable administering medication when needed.

At home, I’m a mum to a 3-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer who has separation anxiety, as well as two cats. Because of this, I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable and loved when their owners are away. I also know that it’s not just about feeding them — playtime, attention, mental stimulation and keeping their normal routine are just as important.

What I offer 🐶🐱

I offer home visits for feeding, check-ins, playtime and cuddles, as well as 30–45 minute walks for small or medium-sized dogs (up to 15 kg). I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and make sure they receive the care and attention they’re used to.

I’m available for morning visits from 5:00 am–6:00 am and evenings from 5:00 pm–10:00 pm. Weekends are more flexible, and I’ll always do my best to work around your pet’s routine.

I can also help with small things around your home while you’re away, such as watering your plants. I have an open driver’s licence, which also gives me some flexibility when travelling to your home.

Your pet’s safety is very important to me. I hold a Blue Card, First Aid, Police Check and CPR training for both humans and animals, and I’m fully vaccinated.

Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I want you to feel confident knowing they are safe, happy and receiving plenty of love and attention while you’re away.
