I have always been a lover of animals, in particular dogs. I remember at a young age having a black kelpie who I considered was my best friend. I have had many dogs over the years, such as wiry hair terriers, shitzu's, Gordon Setter, Golden Retriever and now two Cavoodles.

It was not until I was an owner of a golden retriever did I learn the importance of obedience training. Not only did my dog learn commands like sit and stay, but I learnt having a dog come back to me when called was important for keeping him safe. I learnt how to train my dog which meant my dog had a better quality of life and a lot more freedom and fun.

I like to spend time walking and exercising and so spend a good part of my day with my dogs on long walks either around my local area or on the beach where they love to swim and try to catch little fish. I have a large yard but allow my dogs free access to the house. At night they cuddle up on their beds inside.

When accepting new doggy friends I like them to be socialised and have a basic level of dog obedience training in particular good recall. To ensure the health and safety of dogs in my care I prefer desexed dogs who are fully vaccinated and flee, tick and wormed.
