My name is Diane and I have been a pet sitter for over 10 years now and have already cared for over 100 pets.

I treat all the pets as if they are my own and really enjoy their company, as they do mine.

I have grown up with pets. I have always owned a dog and spend a lot of time with them.

DOG HOSTING

My Labrador, Cheree (14) is always with me when I'm home, either cuddled up to me when I'm watching T.V., sitting on my foot while I'm washing dishes or following me around the back yard. She is my bodyguard. I take her for daily walks to the bush or lake.

Cheree loves the guest dogs who come to my home. As she is an older dog, she doesn't playfight, but is happy to explore the yard and also go on walks with the guest dogs. Cheree is extremely gentle and loving with small dogs. She treats them like her puppies, kisses them and lets them curl up next to her on the couch.

I am only taking small gentle dogs, as in the past I have found that the small dogs are occasionally scared of the bigger dogs, especially when they try to play with them. I also only have a small yard, which is not ideal for bigger breeds who want to run around a lot.

I'm home 98% of the time I have guest dogs, unless I have short errands to attend to. I make sure all guest dogs get along very well before I leave them. If not, I will either separate them or take them with me if I can.

DOGGY DAYCARE

Currently I have 3 small guest dogs coming once a week for daycare on Wednesdays. The toy poodle who comes is very timid and is slowly getting used to being with other dogs. He is doing very well and his owner tells me he has improved immensly when they take him out for walks now. I'm only taking small gentle dogs for daycare as well, so if you have a dog you would like more socialized, this would be the perfect daycare group for your dog. I stay home the whole day with my doggy daycare dogs.
