Hi everyone! Just a quick intro about myself:
I graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in China and moved to Australia after completing my studies. I've been living here ever since and have been house-sitting on and off for several years—my very first gig was actually in Sydney!
Currently, I am a full-time teacher in Darwin, but that doesn't stop me from house-sitting. In fact, I’ve been doing it continuously for the past year since my break-up—not because I can't afford a place, but because I enjoy the flexibility and haven’t felt the need to settle down just yet. (I even have my own website for house-sitting!)
One of the biggest joys of house-sitting for me is being around animals. Pets have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love spending time with them. I'm hoping to take on a few house-sitting jobs while I travel down south.

You may have noticed there aren't many reviews on Pawshake because people usually find me through my website, especially in Darwin as I live here. And quite a lot of my clients are repeated.

My House-Sitting Experience in Australia
2017: Looked after a cat in Sydney for 2 months—my very first house-sitting job, and I loved it! I also cared for two big dogs over a weekend and later stayed in a home with 2 dogs and 4 cats for another 2 months. I’ve kept in touch with the lovely hosts—we’re now friends!
2018: Took care of a big, goofy dog on Elcho Island over Christmas.
Worked as a vet assistant in an animal clinic in NT for 2 months. This involved more technical responsibilities like pre-op prep, monitoring vitals during surgery, and post-op care.
2023: House-sat for two properties in a remote part of NT for 2 months.
2024: Helped out a friend in Darwin by looking after her cat, two dogs, and a fish for a month.
2025: House-sat while working full time.
2026: Looking forward to new encounters!
In short, I’m confident and capable when it comes to caring for animals—regardless of their species or size. I have a deep love for animals, and I can promise your furry (or scaly!) friends will be in safe, loving hands.
Cheers!
