Hi,

My name is Eric and I live in Richmond with my wife Emma and our two children Ella and Edward. We also have a beautiful three year old Australian Bulldog called Evie who we acquired as a nine month old puppy from a breeder in Ballarat.

Prior to moving to Australia in 2007 I lived around the Yorkshire Dales in the UK. My parents always looked after dogs during their lives. In particular they had Jack Russells. Just having the dogs in the house made the family complete and would make you feel safe.

What motivates me to be a dog sitter?I think since we started looking after our bulldog I have become more interested and passionate about the different breeds of dogs and their behaviours. Having worked in nursing for over 20 years I have that caring streak not only towards people but also our fur babies.

I treat dogs and other animals with the care and respect they deserve.

I have experience at looking after our friend's dogs when they go away on holidays. Often they stay overnight and they are well looked after.

I would have to think twice about looking after an unvaccinated dog. My gut feeling would tell me no.

Our house has two floors with two bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs. The upstairs has an en suite.

Our Bulldog has her bed in the lounge room but there is space upstairs for another dog to sleep. Failing that our friend's dogs have slept downstairs with Evie.

We have a very small outside area at the back of the house for them to chill on a hot day. Also there is a terrace upstairs for them to chill to go outside.

Generally we take a Evie to the park for a run which is only a 5 minute walk.
