I am a 45 year old, dog obsessed lover of all animals, currently without pets of my own. I grew up with reactive cattle dogs, a cat, guinea pigs, pet mice and a couple of budgies. As an adult I have been the doting mother of 3 rescue greyhounds who enjoyed long lives, and am very well practised at eye drops, teeth brushing, medication and a variety of health and behavioural conditions - from blindness to broken legs, separation anxiety and fear based aggression. Several friends refer to me as a dog whisperer :) I have a certificate in pet first aid and am a trained wildlife rescuer. I have always had an affinity with animals and would probably be a vet if my heart could handle it. Instead, I am a creative professional who runs their own registered charity supporting artists with disability. 90% of my work is done from home aside from 1-3hr appointments here and there. I own a quiet, ground floor, one bedroom apartment in Thornbury with a small, secure rear courtyard. I live within walking distance to several parks and Merri Creek. I love walking and am happy to get out and about several times a day for as little or as long as needed. I am confident with animals of all sizes, shapes, ages and temperaments. I know how stressful it can be finding someone you trust to look after your fur children. I am very happy to follow detailed instructions and to send you a million photos while you are away!
