After having lived with and loved (other humans') cats for decades; and often looking after them when they go away on holiday (even when I have moved out) I have decided to put my hobby to good use and offer myself for services for other cats (and dogs). Overnight stays and feeding are on offer for cats).

When it comes to cat sitting it would include playing with (assuming the cat is in the mood) and cuddles if wanted. Besides this there would of course be the usual feeding, watering, cleaning up and litter tray emptying. The length of time would be dependent upon your needs.

The best way to handle shy cats (and most are to begin with) is to let them come to you; this can take time. The best way is to sit away from the cat and speak in a friendly way to them. The visit duration (via Pawshake) would be typically be for 30mins, though if you want playtime I would recommend 60mins. When I have cat sat in the past (no incidents have occurred), but I always ensure that I have a vets phone number is available and I keep in regular contact with the owner. 

I will walk dogs, again for the desired length of time. Ideally I only want to walk one dog at a time as I want to give him/her my full attention. I think dogs are often happiest with a human if they are getting the full attention. When walking a dog I would keep the leash close to me so as to avoid other pedestrian and bikes etc.

I am not able to look after pets at my own home. I am based near Sydney CBD and so have good transport options available to me.
