I understand that leaving your pets behind can be stressful, so my goal is to keep them happy, relaxed and comfortable in the place they know best—their own home. I care for every pet as though they were my own, following their normal routine with feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles and plenty of companionship.

As a lifelong animal lover and experienced dog owner, I appreciate that every pet has their own personality and needs. Whether your dog enjoys long walks and games, your cat prefers a quiet lap to curl up on, or your pets simply enjoy company while you’re away, I’ll adapt my care to suit them.

During every house sit I’ll also look after your home with the same respect and care. I’m happy to collect mail, water plants, put bins out, keep your home tidy and provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing everything is being well looked after.

As a professional author who works from home, I spend much of my time writing and editing, meaning your pets will enjoy plenty of company rather than being left alone for long periods.

Walks are tailored to each dog’s age, breed, energy level and owner’s preferences. Most dogs enjoy one or two walks a day of around 30–60 minutes, with plenty of play, enrichment and affection at home as well.

How often are pets left alone?

I work flexibly and spend much of my time writing and editing, so pets usually have plenty of company throughout the day. If I need to go out, I keep it to the shortest time possible and always within the routine you’ve outlined for your pet.

Your pet’s safety is my highest priority. If an emergency arose, I would contact you immediately, follow any instructions you’ve provided, and seek prompt veterinary care if needed. I’ll also keep you updated throughout the situation.

I’ve cared for dogs and cats with a range of personalities—from playful and energetic to shy, senior and more independent pets. I understand the importance of patience, consistency and following each pet’s established routine to help them feel safe and settled.

I offer house sitting for dogs, cats and other small household pets. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s routine, medications and any special requirements before every booking.
