Hi, fellow pet parents!

I’m Leanne, and I love helping pets feel safe, settled, and cared for while their people are away. I’ve grown up with animals and have around 12 years of experience caring for them. My pets have included Bruce, my three year old Golden Retriever, who I’ve had since he was a puppy, Snoopy, our much loved Basset Hound. Lady and Cuddles, our miniature Yorkies. I’ve also cared for Jinks and Tobe, our cats, and Kobe, my Maine Coon back home in Ireland, who I’ve had since she was a kitten. I’ve looked after my sister’s miniature Dachshund, Rex too and grew up maintaining two fish tanks.

I’m experienced with feeding, walks, playtime, and basic grooming. I’m happy to give medication when you provide clear instructions. Snoopy had arthritis, so I gave him his medication every day. Jinks had sores on his ears and needed cream applied to help soothe them. I’ve also given my own dog and cat deworming tablets and removed ticks from them. I can administer oral medication and apply topical treatments. I can also help with basic grooming, such as brushing and wiping muddy paws, but I don’t offer professional grooming or haircuts. I’m patient and attentive, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine and care instructions.

I offer dog walks, drop in visits, and house sitting. Walks and drop in visits are 30 minutes, and I’m happy to stay longer if arranged. Visits can include feeding, fresh water, exercise, play, toilet breaks, and photo updates for peace of mind. During house sits, I can care for your pets, walk them as needed, keep the house tidy, and send regular updates. I’m comfortable caring for dogs, cats, small animals, and fish.

I enjoy meeting playful puppies, senior dogs who’d appreciate company, and dogs who simply need a chance to get out and stretch their legs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes, as long as I can safely manage them on walks and during routine care. I’m not currently taking bookings for reactive dogs, as I want to make sure every pet gets the right support and handling.

We can discuss walk routes and your dog’s needs beforehand. In warm weather, I’ll avoid walking during the hottest parts of the day. If your dog is nervous, I’ll aim for quieter routes and stay alert around other dogs, especially those off lead.

I’m based in Scarborough and available Monday to Sunday. I’m happy to care for dogs in season, pregnant dogs, and pets who need oral or topical medication. When house sitting, I’ll follow your instructions for securing your home, lock doors and windows when I leave, keep keys secure, and make sure the house is locked up at night. I can also bring in mail or adjust lights and blinds if you’d like.

I’d love to hear about your pet’s personality, routine, and little quirks so I can help them feel comfortable and cared for. I treat other people’s pets with the same care I give my own, and I’m happy to discuss their favourite cuddles, playtime, quiet time, or the occasional pup cup with you first!
