I’m a lifelong dog lover with plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages and temperaments, including large, strong and high-energy breeds.

I grew up with dogs, and my family dog lived to the age of 15. I also have my own GSD, who is currently living with family in the UK, which is the only reason I don’t currently have a dog of my own here in Australia.

Although I was never a police dog handler, I have extensive experience around working police dogs as en ex-UK officer and completed a week-long course involving police dogs and their handling. I’ve also owned and managed a GSD with behavioural challenges, which taught me the importance of patience, calm handling, clear boundaries and understanding that every dog has individual needs, triggers and routines.

I have experience walking and caring for large, powerful dogs and recently spent a full week house-sitting and caring for a very large specialist GSD. I’m comfortable managing energetic dogs, giving them appropriate exercise, mental stimulation and plenty of attention while keeping to the routines their owners have established.

I can offer dog walking, home visits and house-sitting. Walks can be adapted to your dog’s age, fitness and energy levels, whether that means a relaxed stroll or a longer, more active walk. During visits or house-sitting, I can provide feeding, playtime, exercise, companionship and medication where clear instructions are provided.

I work shifts, which actually gives me good availability at different times of the day and during weekdays, depending on my roster. I will always be upfront about my availability before accepting a booking and will only take on dogs when I know I can give them the time and attention they deserve.

I’m reliable, respectful of people’s homes and happy to send regular photos and updates. In the event of any concern or emergency, I would contact you immediately, follow your instructions and seek veterinary care where necessary.
