Hello!

I’m Soo, an animal science graduate, dog care professional, and currently a dog training student with a strong background in animal behaviour and welfare.

I completed my Honours in Animal Science and Management at the University of Melbourne, where my research focused on the behaviour and welfare of conservation detection dogs. I’m now continuing to build my professional skills through dog training studies with the National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF), alongside further study in animal behaviour.

I currently work in doggy daycare, caring for dogs with all kinds of personalities, breeds, ages, and energy levels. This hands-on experience has taught me how important it is to understand each dog as an individual, whether they’re outgoing and playful, shy and cautious, still learning as a puppy, or happiest taking things slowly as a senior.

When caring for your pet, my priority is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and understood while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. I pay close attention to body language and behaviour, and I’m happy to follow your usual routines for feeding, walks, enrichment, rest, and training.

For walks and playtime, I love incorporating plenty of sniffing, exploration, enrichment, and positive interactions rather than simply trying to tire a dog out. With my background in behaviour and training, I can also reinforce the cues and good habits you’re already working on at home.

Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I’ll treat them with the same patience, attention, and respect I’d want for my own, and I’m always happy to keep you updated so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands.
