Hi, I’m Gab!

I’m a 40-year-old professional working for the Australian Federal Government, where I lead teams delivering strategic transformation and change projects.

Over the past year, I’ve been house and pet sitting across Melbourne and Victoria full-time, and I’ve completely fallen in love with the lifestyle. Spending time with animals is genuinely my favourite part of every sit — it’s the part I enjoy most and the reason I keep doing this.

I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs (from small companions to large and working breeds), cats (so many cats!!), chickens, rabbits, horses, birds — and even two llamas (a personal highlight!). I’m calm, patient, and attentive, and I take the time to understand each animal’s routine, personality, and needs.

I’m an active and confident dog walker and genuinely enjoy long walks, so I’m very happy to support regular walks, energetic breeds, and dogs who need a bit more exercise. I’m also available for daytime house visits and check-ins. I usually work from home, which means I’m present and flexible throughout the day — I just need a small bench or table space to set up my laptop during longer visits.

I have a current police check and take great pride in being respectful, reliable, and trustworthy in other people’s homes. I understand the importance of privacy, security, and caring for a home as if it were my own, and I always aim to leave things just as they were left — if not better.

While I’m new to Pawshake and don’t yet have reviews on this platform, I’ve completed many short- and long-term house and pet sits through other platforms, as well as direct referrals. I’m very happy to provide strong references upon request.

I’m well suited to short-term and weekend sits, dog walking, and daytime house visits, and I’m always happy to chat and meet beforehand to make sure it’s the right fit for everyone.
