Hi! I’m a full-time PhD student from Indonesia, currently living with my boyfriend and our rescue dog, Mary. I work mostly from home, so pet sitting fits very naturally into my everyday routine. 

A home stay, not a kennel 🏡

For boarding and daycare, I only host one guest dog (or dogs from the same family) at a time, so your dog can settle into our normal home life rather than being one of many dogs in care.

I’m home most of the day, and my boyfriend is also around outside his work hours. Guest dogs are only left for short periods when necessary, such as a quick grocery trip, and never longer than 3 hours during boarding or 1 hour during daycare.

We live in a two-storey house with fully fenced outdoor areas, including a grassy front yard and a shaded back deck. Our gates are secured, and dogs have access to the house and outdoor areas while supervised. Dogs sleep indoors and are welcome to sleep in our bedroom in their own bed, alongside Mary.

Our usual day starts with breakfast around 6:30am and a morning walk around 7am, with dinner around 5pm. Daily walk is usually around 45 minutes, depending on your dog’s normal routine, age and energy level. I’m very happy to keep their usual feeding, walking and sleeping schedule.

Walks & home visits 🐕

Individual dog walks are around 30 minutes in your neighbourhood or nearby parks and walking trails, with plenty of time to sniff and explore rather than rushing around the block.

Home visits are also around 30 minutes and can include feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles and general company.

I’m comfortable giving oral medication, following special diets, and continuing the basic training or routines you already use at home.

And then there’s Mary 🐾

Mary is our 30kg rescue from Darwin. She’s desexed, vaccinated, playful and very friendly with people and other dogs. She can be enthusiastic about saying hello, though, so a meet-and-greet before the first stay is important to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Our home is best suited to small and medium dogs, as well as friendly dogs around Mary’s size. I don’t want to recreate a boarding facility at home — the idea is simply to give your dog another home where they can keep their routine, relax, have company and become part of our little household while you’re away.
