I've had all different types of animals since I was a kid and have been in love with them ever since! I have always been a part time pet sitter, being the go-to for friends, acquaintances, and clients from my other part time job as a barber. I have also taken on jobs as sitter on websites such as this and have made so many new pet friends.

My husband and I haven't found ourselves in the position to adopt a long term pet, so we have had many rodent babies that we have loved all the same. I get my dog and cat fix by being trusted to take the best care of others' pets, plus I get the fun of taking care of all kinds. I've sat for all kinds of temperaments from excited babies who need constant attention to older pets who require special attention to food and meds. (I have administered oral, and would be quick to learn injections if need be.)

On top of growing up with dogs and cats, I have also owned rats, hamsters, and guinea pigs, and a few fish. Though my experience is in mammals, I don't mind any type of animal- I would be eager to learn about lizards, snakes, insects, or anything else. I have also once taken care of a cool of chickens (and a seperate old hen) at a house I sat at a few times.

I live in a rental so I am unable to board, but I also think it is almost always more comfortable for the pet to be comfortable at home. It also helps me read the animals mood better, as they know their own routine and are able to communicate their needs when they know where their food is, the leash, or where to potty. I will pay total attention to your pets needs to make sure they are comfortable and happy up to the moment you get home!
