Hi my name is Avani, and I am a passionate, caring, and reliable dog sitter with a lifelong love for animals. I have grown up around dogs and feel incredibly lucky to currently share my life with my 5-year-old Golden Retriever, Buddy. Through caring for him, I have developed valuable hands-on experience with walking, feeding, grooming, and understanding dogs’ individual personalities, behaviours, and needs.

I am confident handling both small and large dogs, as well as dogs with different temperaments. My experience with my Golden Retriever has given me the skills to safely manage larger, strong dogs while remaining calm, patient, and attentive. I always take the time to help dogs feel comfortable, secure, and cared for.

I am currently a uni student, and I live at home, which allows me to be present and available to properly supervise and care for dogs throughout the day. Your dog will not be left alone for extended periods, and I am able to provide regular supervision, exercise, and attention.

My home is clean, safe, and very dog-friendly. We have a large indoor space where dogs can relax comfortably and feel secure, and a large, secure backyard where they can safely play, explore, and exercise. Dogs are welcome inside and can sleep indoors, depending on your preference. My dog Buddy sleeps inside and is very friendly, gentle, and well-socialised with other dogs. I always introduce dogs slowly and carefully to ensure they feel comfortable, and if needed, dogs can be kept separated to maintain safety and reduce stress.

Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my highest priorities. I follow each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, rest, and playtime. During walks, dogs are always kept on leash unless otherwise instructed. I remain attentive to their behaviour and comfort at all times to ensure they feel safe and happy.
