Hi, I’m Sonia, a vegetarian animal lover currently based in Brisbane. I’ve always naturally enjoyed spending time with animals — I even have several friendly stray-cat “friends” that I regularly stop to say hello to. For me, caring for animals is not just a job; I genuinely enjoy getting to know their personalities, routines and little quirks.

Throughout 2025, I volunteered regularly at Keelung Pet Bank, an animal welfare organisation in Taiwan, where I gained hands-on experience caring for rescued cats and dogs. My volunteer work included dog walking, feeding and providing fresh water, brushing and grooming, helping with bathing, playing with cats and dogs, using teaser toys with kittens, taking photos for records and adoption promotion, supporting adoption events, and helping animals become more comfortable and social around people.

I’m patient and gentle with animals, and I prefer to let them approach me and build trust at their own pace. I pay attention to their body language and individual personalities, and I will always follow your pet’s usual routine and your care instructions as closely as possible.

I currently offer dog walking, home visits and overnight house sitting at the pet owner’s home. Dog walks are generally around 30 minutes, and home visits can include feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays or pet areas, playtime, companionship and other routine care as discussed with you. For house sitting, I can stay overnight in your home so your pet can remain in a familiar environment and maintain their normal routine.

I’m happy to care for both cats and dogs and am especially comfortable with friendly or gentle pets. For safety, I may not be the best fit for dogs with a history of aggression or dogs that are very difficult to control on walks. If your pet is shy or needs a little more time to warm up to new people, that’s completely fine — I’m happy to give them space and let trust develop naturally.

My availability may vary, so before booking I’m happy to discuss your pet’s personality, usual routine, feeding schedule, walking needs and any other care instructions. I know that every animal is different, and I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable with the arrangement.
