Hi, I’m Jon. I’m based in Bayside Melbourne and have a genuine love of dogs and first-hand experience of caring for one throughout his entire life.

With my partner Maria, we raised our Labradoodle from the time he was just 8 weeks old until he passed away at the age of 16. Over those years I experienced every stage of a dog’s life — puppyhood and training, energetic younger years, daily walks and routines, and eventually the different needs, patience and extra care that come with an ageing dog.

Having had a dog as part of my family for 16 years, I understand just how important it is to completely trust the person you're leaving your pet with. I know I was very particular about who I trusted with mine!

I’m mature, responsible and dependable, and I currently have good flexibility with my time. This means I can give pets genuine attention and companionship rather than simply rushing in and out.

Dog walking: I offer walks of approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on your dog's age, fitness and normal routine. I’m based in Bayside and enjoy walking around the local parks, foreshore and established walking routes in the Black Rock, Beaumaris, Sandringham and Hampton areas. I’m very happy to follow your dog's usual route if that's what they prefer.

Home visits: Visits are generally around 30–45 minutes and can include feeding, fresh water, play and companionship, litter or garden/toilet breaks and other agreed care. I’m also happy to bring in mail, water plants or put bins out while you're away.

House and pet sitting: I can stay in your home while you're away so that your pet can remain comfortable in their familiar surroundings and maintain their normal routine. Because my schedule is flexible, I can spend substantial time with pets in my care. Before accepting a booking, I'll discuss how long your pet is comfortable being left alone and make sure my schedule works with their needs.

I’m comfortable administering straightforward oral medication where an owner provides clear instructions. For more complex medical requirements, I'd prefer to discuss these with you beforehand to make sure I'm the right person for your pet.

Communication: You can expect regular messages and photos while you're away. I know from experience how reassuring it is to see that your pet is happy and settled.

I’m primarily covering Black Rock, Beaumaris, Sandringham, Hampton and nearby Bayside areas, and I'm available for weekday and weekend walks, home visits and overnight house/pet sitting depending on my existing commitments.

Before any first booking, I prefer to arrange a meet-and-greet. It gives me a chance to meet your pet and understand their personality, routine, feeding, walks, likes and dislikes and any special requirements — and, most importantly, gives you the opportunity to make sure you're completely comfortable entrusting them to me.

My aim is simple: for your pet to be happy and well cared for, and for you to be able to enjoy your time away without worrying about them.
