Hello pet lovers! Are you looking for someone who takes an empathetic approach to animal care? Someone ready to respond to your pets individually in a kind and caring way? 

Now retired, I see pet care as a new profession. I won't be rushing. Your pet will receive loving and responsible care in their own home. They will also be in safe hands if we are out and about for a bit of a fun while you are busy or out of town. 

Something of a cat whisperer, I love cats and respect their style - they much prefer familiar spaces, sunny corners and the people they know. I work with the cat and go with their pace. There will be time for play, cuddles or just hanging out together as well as meal time. Inside cats, especially solo cats, really do require that visit to brighten their day.

I extend this respectful approach to other critters too.  I have cared for a wide variety over time -  from a sulphur crested cockatoo to rabbits,  a carpet snake and, as well as livestock and hens. I  have also helped out family and friends with kittens and dogs needing care,  taking on mum's sweet Scottie dog when things got too hard. 

Its been my pleasure to visit and walk a number of elderly dogs by now as well as active jolly dogs on the move. Whether it's a dawdle under trees or a good long walk they'll get fun and affection, with lots of sniffing time when out with me.  And you will get a mini photo journal of their adventures.🤠

My aim is to match your expectations and those of your pets while you attend to business or take that much needed break.

Meet and greet

So that I can deliver the best service please spare a few moments to meet up.

We can go through all those little things that matter to you and help your pet feel secure and enjoy their day. How do you communicate with them, call them for dinner, offer them special affection? Have they behavioural issues or special health needs?

We'll all do better if you can spare a few minutes for a chat about your pet and to say hello.

Services

I offer cat visting and dogwalking services in central Canberra and the Inner North suburbs, and those south of Belconnen.

Other requests will also be considered depending on existing bookings and the travel time to your home. For longer distances a small travel fee may apply.

When your pet friends are staying home alone I will provide the care and attention they need. I'll visit once or twice daily and provide you with daily reports, with lots of cute images. 

Unfortunately I don't offer dog sitting services and recommend this if you are leaving your dog overnight. However I would love to take your dog out for fun and fresh air if their carer can't assist or needs support.

When visiting your pets I'll ensure your home looks lived in and attend to mail and bins. I'll fill the garden bird feeder and water the pot plants or veggie garden too.

My thirty minute visits or dog walks always last longer. While you are not there, I'll ensure they know you care.
