About Nick
I LOOOOVEEE dogs — big, small, floppy ears, short tails, whatever… maybe even more than people. Sadly though, I can’t have my own because of where I live, so instead I get to look after yours when you’re not able to.
I enjoy the routine, the walks, and the different personality of each dog — whether they’re energetic, a bit shy, or somewhere in between. I’m easygoing, reliable, and treat every dog like they’re my own. I take the time to make sure your dog feels comfortable and looked after, and I’m always happy to follow any routines, quirks, or preferences you have.
I also understand that not every dog is instantly confident or relaxed around new people. Some need a slower approach, a bit more patience, or time to settle in, and I’m completely comfortable working at their pace. Whether that means quiet company, sticking to familiar routines, shorter walks, or simply giving them space while they settle in, I’m happy to adapt to what works best for them.
I have practical experience caring for multiple dogs at once, including managing two dogs together and ensuring each one still gets individual attention, exercise, and care. On walks, I stay alert to each dog’s behaviour and comfort level around other dogs, and adjust accordingly — whether that means crossing the street, shortening the lead, creating more space, or changing direction to keep them calm and safe. I’m always focused on making sure walks are enjoyable but also controlled and stress-free for everyone.
Walk lengths really depend on the dog — some are happy with a relaxed stroll and plenty of sniffing, while others want longer walks and lots of play to burn energy. I’m happy to match their usual routine and energy levels so they stay comfortable, entertained, and settled throughout the day.
A typical day usually includes walks, feeding, playtime, downtime, toilet breaks, cuddles, and making sure they’re getting the right balance of stimulation and rest. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, so they won’t just be “checked in on” — they’ll have company, attention, and someone making sure they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away.
If I’m caring for multiple dogs at once, I make sure they’re a good match in temperament and energy levels, and I’ll always prioritise safety, supervision, and making sure each dog still gets individual attention. I never want a dog to feel overwhelmed or overlooked.
You’ll get updates along the way (including those blurry photos of them trying to lick my ear), and your dog will get the attention they want… the snuggles are the best part.
PS: good luck getting the ball off me once it’s at my feet.
