Hey I’m Bronte, I’ve been around animals my whole life and have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages. I grew up with chickens, cats and dogs, including a lot of foster rescues and animals with special needs, so I’m used to different temperaments and figuring out what each animal needs.

I know how big of a deal it is leaving your pet with someone else, so I try to keep things as familiar and low stress as possible for them. I’ve done puppy school with my dog Kiko and keep up his training day to day. I’ve also looked after animals with separation anxiety, rescue backgrounds, and I’m comfortable giving medication when needed. I also know the local emergency vets and am able to drive there if necessary.

I live in Collingwood in an apartment with a secure balcony. I work from home as a freelance designer so I’m around most of the time and not leaving pets alone for long stretches. If I do have to leave I make sure to leave enrichment toys out and play some smooth fm for them to keep them company. Most days include a couple of walks and just hanging out at home, depending on what your pet is used to.

I’m close to Edinburgh Gardens, Smith Reserve and Victoria Park, so there’s plenty of space for walks. I adjust based on energy levels, whether that’s longer walks or just something slower and calmer.

I’m a mum to Kiko, my 5 year old Pomeranian x Chihuahua. He’s very sweet and playful and loves other dogs, but he’s also pretty good at reading the room and giving space when needed, especially with cats.

As I live in an apartment I am unfortunately only able to care for smaller/medium size dogs as I want them to be comfortable. Happy to send updates while you’re away, and always keen to do a meet and greet first so everyone feels happy!
