I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, from cattle and large dogs on the farm to birds, guinea pigs and everything in between. Our family cockatoo even lived to be over 50!

I’m an experienced and confident animal carer, including with larger dogs (as you can see in the photos with our Rottweiler). Our family dogs were rottweilers (and one border collie x lab) raised according to guide dog standards, so I’m very comfortable with structured routines, training, boundaries and responsible handling.

These days I share my home with several rescued guinea pigs, so animal care is still very much part of everyday life. I’m patient, attentive and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal’s individual personality and needs.

Whether your pet needs a walk, to play fetch, some company while you’re away, feeding and medication routines, or simply someone trustworthy to give them plenty of attention and affection, I’ll treat them as I would my own.

Based on your pet and their needs, I can visit your pet once to twice daily to feed them, refill water, administer medication and give them some love and attention. Dog walks are 30 minutes, up to 2 dogs at a time for small bonded dogs or 1 dog at a time for larger breeds.

I appreciate detailed instructions including triggers, allergies, health problems, favourite treats, vet details and anything else relevant so I can provide the best care possible for your loved one. Emergency protocol is also established prior to the booking (call to owner, vet approval, pre-authorisation in case of non-answer etc). My priority is safety and your furry (or feathery) friend.

I can provide petsitting at your home for daytime hours if needed, but not overnight care.

My experience is very hands-on. I’ve personally cared for dogs, cattle, birds and guinea pigs throughout my life, including feeding, exercising, handling, cleaning and attending to their individual needs. I’m comfortable around dogs of different sizes and temperaments and understand the importance of reading their body language and respecting their boundaries.
