Hi! I'm Ruben, and I live in Surry Hills with my partner. We're both dog people, and honestly the best part of our day is having one around.

I grew up with dogs at home, so being around them has always felt normal to me. Since then I've looked after friends' dogs here in Sydney and back in Spain: puppies from when they were tiny, older dogs who needed medication and a bit of extra watching, small ones, big ones. Every dog is different and I like figuring out what makes each one comfortable.

We both work from home, so your dog is never left alone for long stretches. A day with us usually starts with a walk before it gets too warm, then play and a good nap while we get on with things. In the afternoon we head out again; we've got loads of parks within walking distance, so there's always somewhere to explore. In between, plenty of couch time and company.

What I offer:

- Boarding (overnight at ours): your dog sleeps here, follows their normal routine, and gets walks morning and afternoon.

- Day care: drop off and pick up at whatever time suits your day.

- Walks: 30 minutes, one dog at a time unless you tell me otherwise.

- Home visits: I come to you, feed, play and take them out. One or two visits a day.

I look after dogs only, of any size, and I'm happy with puppies and senior dogs. We've got the space for up to five, so if you have two or three at home they can all stay together. How many other dogs are here really depends on you: some owners like their dog having company, others prefer them to be the only one, and some dogs simply do better on their own. Just tell me what suits yours and I'll keep the dates accordingly.

A few practical things: I have a car, so I can pick up and drop off within about 8 km of Surry Hills; further out (Northern Beaches, Sutherland, the west) just message me first so we can sort the extra cost. You'll get photos and updates through the day. Tell me your dog's routine, meals, medication, what they're nervous about, and I'll stick to it.
