I am Canberra born and bred. I am a retired senior public servant with more than 40 years experience. I was a cat owner for more than 30 years, often with two or three cats, most of which were rescue cats. I looked after and cared for them through everything including taking one to Sydney for cancer treatment which resulted in having an eye removed. I am currently without one but am very experienced in dealing with cats. While I have had less experience in dealing with dogs, for a number of years I was also a volunteer dog walker at the pound which, at times, was challenging both physically and emotionally. I walked up to six different dogs on a Saturdayafternoon so was very committed. Each walk was about 30 minutes. In addition, I had to sit with a number of dogs in their cages to build up their confidence before talking them for a walk I am a very caring and compassionate person and would treat your pet with with as much care as if it was my own I would love the opportunity to look after your pooch or pussy cat while you are away. My main interest is visiting your pet in your home while you are away and rest assured they will be in safe hands. And I would be more than happy to feed your pet but also spend time petting them and playing with them. I am not overly competent with oral medication but have had some success with my own cats. I would be more than happy to send you a daily update or pics so that you know that they are getting amazing care.
