Sydney Friends- I have moved back to Canberra in January 2022. I am available for previous clients only for weekend stays (Friday and Saturday - two night minimum).
I am thankful for the past three years to all my wonderful clients and to all the amazing animals I have looked after.
Canberra Friends - Hello! Nice to e-meet you! After a short break moving to Canberra and settling in, I would love to look after your fur child/ren.
What I can offer:
Dog Walking - for up to 45mins of dog walking. I can do after 5.00pm, subject to availability and work commitments.
Home Visits - for up to 60mins each visit I can feed your animal/s, bring in mail, take out bins, bring bins in, have playtime with your animal/s at your house, water plants, open/close curtains, clean/refreshed their litter tray or pick up their business in your yard. Happy to discuss your requirements.
Overnight stays - very similar to the Home Visits but more time for cuddles with your fur child/ren. I also include a walk for dogs, or cats - my cat loves to go on a walk with her lead. I also use this rate for 4hrs or more for day/night-sitting if you need me to be at your house if your pet cannot be left home alone.
Feel free to send a message to discuss your needs.
About me:
For those who know me or are new to my story, I had to say goodbye to Alpha the Great Dane at the end of January 2021. I brought Alpha into my life when she was 9wks old and she had a wonderful 8yrs around the sun with me.
My 10yo rescue cat, Coco, is currently enjoying the freedom at my parents house in Canberra. I used to have a Cockatiel named Barney, who I taught how to whistle songs, head bopping dance moves, and he loved to get head pats. He was so much fun to train.
I have grown up with cats, fish, and various birds. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and even a turtle.
I have experience with giving animals medication whether that be a tablet, topical creams and/or an injection (our family cat was diabetic and Coco gets injections twice weekly for a skin and environmental allergy), and I have experience with dogs who have seizures (my own personal experience with Alpha). I can handle large dogs, or dogs that pull on the lead, and dogs with behavioural issues. I’m yet to meet an animal I can’t handle.
I work full-time hours as a senior Executive Assistant (EA) in Government and previously as an EA for a NFP charity in Sydney. I am currently have a mix of WFH or in the office. I am policed checked, WWCC checked, non-smoker, non-drinker, almost OCD cleaner, learning to adapt to a minimalist lifestyle, and I am very respectful of your home.
I hope you will consider me to look after your fur child/ren, as I will also love them just as I would my own.
Kathryn
Kathryn was absolutely brilliant caring for my older cat and exuberant puppy. She went above and beyond making sure they were safe, comfortable and happy. She was very good at keeping me updated and putting my (admittedly anxious!) mind at ease. The house was beautifully cared for, and was even cleaner than I'd left it! I'd definitely use her excellent services again.
Kathryn was wonderful, our lab and cats were looked after so well and loved Kathryn. Kathryn left the house perfectly clean and was fantastic with communication. Have no hesitation recommending Kathryn and we feel very confident and happy leaving our pets in her care.
