"Tegan was great! She must be a magic cat person because my shy old tortoise shell warmed to her immediately. The house was in great shape when I returned and the pets seemed happy and calm. 10/10 "

"Ronnie provided amazing house and pet sitting services to us including the car of 2 dogs and 2 cats with one dog on twice a day medications. Ronnie provided daily updates with photos and the fur babies looked as though they thoroughly enjoyed having her as their sitter. Highly recommended Ronnie to anyone ❤️"

"I couldn’t have asked for better people to look after Miyu while I was away! Chintia and Jeff were so warm, thoughtful and caring, and it was obvious from the regular updates and photos that Miyu felt safe, settled and loved. Coming home to a happy, relaxed dog gave me so much peace of mind. Miyu can be an anxious pup and take a little while to warm to new people, but she clicked with Chintia and Jeff from the first meet, I was shocked! Miyu seemed more disappointed than excited when I arrived home, it was obvious she enjoyed herself with you guys 😆 Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy pet sitters."

"Vanessa stayed at my house and took fabulous care of my two dogs for an extended time . They were clearly loved and looked after. Which is exactly what as a devoted dog owner you hope for. One of the dogs was recovering from unexpected major surgery do required more attention with medication and lead walks. This dog can be nervous , so Vanessa did a great job of making her feel secure. Vanessa frequently sent photos of the dogs and ask timely and relevant questions about some aspects of care, which were so appreciated. Vanessa was always keen to know each dogs specific needs and l came home to two happy dogs! Thank you Vanessa 😀"

"We booked Alicia just two days before our trip when our original pet sitter cancelled. We have a very ill, complicated senior cat, and Alicia was absolutely wonderful with her and our dog, Buddy. She confidently handled all of our cat’s medication needs and even took her to the vet twice a week. Her communication was amazing, and we were able to relax on our trip thanks to her. We came home to a stable, well-cared-for cat and a happy dog. We’re so grateful for the care Alicia provided!"

"We booked Alvina very last minute as our original cat sitter had to cancel, so we were very hesitant going forward, but Alvina exceeded our expectations! She understood the needs of the cats, both of whom were senior and was very proactive with asking any questions. She kept us updated every single day, twice a day, with long, informative messages, and plenty of photos. Couldn’t be happier and we would without hesitation use her again, or recommend her to anyone! Alvina is the BEST!"

"Joana was a really great, conscientious petsitter for our cat, Dede. She showed great care in making sure Dede was eating as much as she should and taking her medications, and she asked lots of good questions. She also left our apartment lovely and tidy. We’d really happily have her take care of Dede again. "

Why house sitting ?

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your West Melbourne VIC home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like West Melbourne VIC.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your West Melbourne VIC home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.
