I'm working remotely from home as an external auditor, and my wife, Vania, is pursuing her PhD at the Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU. We have dogs in Indonesia, and unfortunately, we cannot bring them to Canberra. Also, we cannot have our own dog here as we live in a shared house with other residents. To ease our longing for dogs, we signed up Pawshake as petsitter. Spending time with dogs is a stre&nbsp;
We can feed and check on your pets and offer pet sitting in your home. We have a car and enjoy outdoor activities. We can take your dogs for walks around your neighbourhood or to the parks in Canberra.
We offer a complimentary meet and greet so that you and your pet can become familiar with us,&nbsp;

I'm a public servant in my late 20s with personal and professional experience looking after dogs, cats, rabbits, poultry, reptiles and birds. Having worked in a pet food store for 2 years, I love meeting dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. I have grown up around animals, and at different points have owned pretty much every pet - dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, chickens and a turtle. My family dog in Melbourne is a rescue husky - he is a big and boisterous, so I am comfortable with dogs who may need have special needs. I am also confident administering medication if required.

I have done pet sitting before and go above and beyond to make your pets feel comfortable and loved. I am happy to spend time sitting and cuddling them during house visits, or behaviour training during walks, or waking up early to feed them during house stays. 

My hours are 7-8:30am, and 5-9pm. 
House visits: I feed your pet and refill water/bedding. I will clean up after then, including any litter. Then I'll spend some playing with them or cuddling with them (for some pets I know that playing might have to come before feeding time, so happy to be flexible). Happy to water any plants too!

Walks: I like to go for walks for around 45 minutes. I prefer to keep dogs on lead during walks unless I know them well, to ensure my and their safety and the safety of others. Happy to bring treats along and train if required, and comfortable walking reactive dogs. 

House stays: Same as the house visit, with more hugs and walks!

This is the first time in my life I have lived without a pet at home, so I'm so looking forward to the opportunity to spend some much needed time with your pets!

I love all pets, big and small. I have been pet sitting and dog walking for 2+ years, while also working full time in a Dog Daycare. This has allowed me to gain lots of experience in animal behaviour and handling, as has completing my Certificate III in Animal Care. I am compassionate and patient and will truly love your pet as if they were my own. I am also physically fit so will be able to walk and care for your pet no matter the size or strength. I have two toy poodles named Rosie and Harley who are very friendly, so play dates can be arranged while I care for your pet if socialisation is something you want for your fur baby. I also have a basic knowledge of dog training, so if that is something you are interested in, I would be happy to discuss and help in any way I can!
As I am living with house mates I will be unable to have your pet stay at my house so staying with your pet in the comfort of its own home is best. I also offer walks and just general check-ups :)

I understand how stressful it can be to leave your animal when you have to go away for a few days, or they're removed from their routine. I'm here to help you soothe any of those worries. I have had dogs, cats, fish, and guinea pigs in the past, so am comfortable with big and small animals.
I prefer to look after the animal in its own home, as this reduces stress and helps keep them in their normal routine. But if there is an emergency, I do have a fenced courtyard and a safe place to keep your animal.
I have a clean driving record and my own reliable vehicle, so whether it's an emergency or an adventure, I'm ready to gently load your animal into the car.
I am an animal lover who has two darling cats of her own. I have previously had a medium sized dog, an army of guinea pigs and both tropical and freshwater fish. I am comfortable with all animals and love to spend time with them, either directly playing or respecting that they want to keep their distance.
I work in the office Mon-Fri but can be flexible based on your animal's need.

I'm a former cat mum that's sadly without any at home at the moment. After saying goodbye to my very senior boy a few weeks ago I'm not ready to take on another of my own just yet so thought this would be a great way to get my animal fix whilst also providing care, comfort &amp; peace of mind for loving owners. Well, there are several reasons why I want to be your pet sitter. To state the obvious I love animals and enjoy spending time with them my favourite animal is rather peculiar... I love cows however, I don't discriminate I love all animals! I have experience with dogs the most but I have also worked with cats too. I want to be a pet sitter/walker because I like the flexibility and fullness this job comes with, I am quite active so being able to get paid to go on hikes with dogos and hang out all day with furbabies is a dream job, I am currently awaiting my enlistment date to join the Airforce, meaning I have a lot of flexibility on timings. I have two Black Labradors of my own (Ellie &amp; Payton) and two blue tongue lizards (Zasper &amp; Bonzo), being a pet owner myself I understand you wouldn't just want anyone looking after your babies so feel free to reach out and ask any questions :) 
Dog walks will be at least 30 minutes, if weather is bad we can sort something out on the day. If there's nature reserve or a hike near by and the dogos are competent enough to take the path we can or even take them to a near by oval or dog park to play with them :)
Home visits will be as long as the owner would like and i am more than happy to water plants, minor cleaning/washing etc. same goes for house sitting, also happy to work out/compromise anything with owner too.
My availability is relatively good can work really any time needed :)

Hello! I am Pranami, a PhD scholar studying marine bacteria at ANU, Canberra. I have recently moved to Australia and I am experienced in taking care of kittens, puppies and older cats and dogs, of all sizes, big and small and also bunnies. I can give baths, trim nails, clean ears, if and when needed. I love teaching tricks to dogs, both indoor and outdoor and also love playing with them. I especially like playing seek with my dogs (I have 3, one German Shepherd and two Indian rescues), where they would be seeking me or any of their favorite toys. It's an easy indoor game to teach and dogs love it once they get the hang of it. As for cats, I know they love their "me-time" and I give them what they need. With my cats, they've always been cuddlers, so I usually would walk around or sit with them on my lap. One of my recent cats loved to show affection by play-biting. And that's pretty much all she would do when we hang out. I make some DIY string toys for them to play with and that keeps them occupied for most of the time. I can also give medicines to both dogs and cats.
I am experienced with pet sitting in different places around the world like California, Beijing, Bangalore, to name a few. I update my clients with photos/videos or calls if they prefer that, atleast twice a day. Pet sitting for me is more out of my ardent love of animals rather than just a job. Due to my flexible schedule, I am available any time of the day, all days a week to look after your furry friends while you are away. Spending quality time with animals for me is more like a therapy and I absolutely love doing that.
