"Antonia was an absolutely amazing dog sitter for our senior greyhound. He can be anxious with new people but Antonia formed a really sweet bond with him very quickly and he was up on the sofa with her every night (which is the true sign of a friend for life with him)! She was really diligent with his routine and he thrived with her care. I really appreciated the daily updates and she was very responsive and open. I’d 100% recommend Antonia to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter. "

"Carolina is a wonderful dog sitter! She sent me pics and updates each day, and I was filled with confidence the doggies were very happy with her care. The house was really clean and tidy when I returned, would definitely use Carolina again. Thanks Carolina!"

"Eva was once again a model pet sitter for our cat and dog! We came home to 2 relaxed pets after receiving plenty of photos and videos of them while we were away. Eva kept us well updated and is definitely someone we are happy to use again as she is a lovely, responsible and caring pet sitter!"

"I couldn’t have asked for better people to look after Miyu while I was away! Chintia and Jeff were so warm, thoughtful and caring, and it was obvious from the regular updates and photos that Miyu felt safe, settled and loved. Coming home to a happy, relaxed dog gave me so much peace of mind. Miyu can be an anxious pup and take a little while to warm to new people, but she clicked with Chintia and Jeff from the first meet, I was shocked! Miyu seemed more disappointed than excited when I arrived home, it was obvious she enjoyed herself with you guys 😆 Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy pet sitters."

"We recently had the pleasure of having Zoe look after our beloved Frenchie, and we couldn't be more thrilled with her. From the moment we met her, Zoe exuded professionalism, warmth, and a genuine love for animals, which immediately put us at ease. During our time away, Zoe took impeccable care of both our house and our dog. We returned to a home that was just as we left it – tidy, secure, and well-maintained. More importantly, our dog was clearly happy, healthy, and incredibly well-cared for. What truly set Zoe apart was her proactive communication. She regularly sent us delightful pictures and updates of our dog, which provided immense peace of mind. Knowing our furry family member was not only safe but also enjoying her time with Zoe allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our trip without any worries. Zoe is reliable, trustworthy, and goes above beyond to ensure both pets and homes are given the best possible attention. We highly recommend her to anyone in need of a fantastic house and dog sitter. She's a true gem!"

"Michelle is world class. This was my first time using a pet sitter and it was for 6 weeks so me and my partner were naturally super nervous, Michelle put our minds at ease so quickly!! She was fabulous at looking after our cats and ensured she met all their individual needs. The communication was great and she was always quick to reply. In addition to being incredible at looking after the little cats, Michelle left our house super clean. She looked after our place with such care. This was a lovely treat after a long day of travelling home. Honestly could not thank Michelle enough and will be 100% booking again for any future trips! "

"Sabrina was so easy to communicate with leading up to the sitting period, she came over and met our pup, and grabbed the keys a couple of days before. During the sit, she kept us updated about our pooch and left the house immaculate. We came home to a very happy puppy and a very tidy house. Absolutely would recommence Sabrina to anyone 🖤"

"We honestly could not have asked for a better catsitter than Ghawady. From the moment we met her, you could tell she is a true animal person. She was so kind, calm and genuinely loving with our fur babies. She took incredible care of them and went above and beyond with updates. We received so many photos and videos while we were away, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was so reassuring seeing how happy and relaxed our cats were in her care. She also left our home spotless and treated it with so much respect, which we really appreciated. The funniest part is that when we got home, our cats barely cared we were back. They genuinely seemed to miss their catsitter, which says everything. We would happily have Ghawady back anytime and cannot recommend her highly enough. 💛🐾"

Why house sitting ?

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Southbank VIC home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Southbank VIC.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Southbank VIC home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.
