I'm a student currently doing my masters at the University of Adelaide. Raised a lot of pets, mostly cats and dogs. I have a cat back home, and my life revolved around him. I miss him deeply, and want to give a little bit of that love to other pets. I absolutely adore pets and as such, you can rest assured that I will care for them as I would my own.
I have experience in sitting for both cats and dogs. I can handle dogs of all sizes, having raised my own Labrador and growing up around the different breeds of dogs my friends and family owned. I also have experience in volunteering work, having driven around and cared for injured animals. I have even nursed a few back to health.

A bit of background on me: After driving my parents crazy by constantly showing up at home with a new animal in need of a loving home, I decided to make the move from South Africa to Adelaide to pursue my passion for animal care in 2019. I have since earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour and a Certificate III in Dog Behaviour, Psychology and Training.&nbsp;
I've had many different types of pets over my 26 years, and am well versed in handling and caring for all dogs, cats, birds, rodents and reptiles (even the biiig snakes). 
Though I am new to Pawshake, I am certainly not new to the world of pet sitting. I have gained valuable experience working as a pet sitter and doggy daycare attendant for a local business.
Unfortunately, I currently reside in a small apartment, which means I can't have pets of my own or provide boarding services. I am available from Monday to Friday from 6am to 4pm because I am a student. All day on weekends. Within my services I can administer oral medication to pets and teach them various tricks  Feed the pet as necessary. Pets are kept in hygienic conditions: any dirt is cleaned from the pet and the owner is informed of any signs of illness or injury. The length of my home visits depends on how much the owner needs me, the minimum is half an hour. The duration of the walks is half an hour. In 24-hour housekeeping and in all services I can also water the plants.

I work at Dogcity Daycare in the mornings so I can do daycare for your dog as long as it already attends a Dogcity facility, if not the dog won't be attended for 5 hours only during the day during this time. My home has a medium sized fully fenced backyard with a small patch of fake grass, a raised plant bed and a outside gym area. I live with 4 other family members and one dog who's a medium sized Border Collie. You will need to provide a bed or crate for you dog to sleep in for dog boarding. Currently living in Adelaide since middle of January and I would love to work in contact with animals, whether it is taking care of them in their homes, go for a walk, playing with them, etc.
I am full available and flexible with the working hours so I can spend as much as you need with your pets, including overnight sitter. Also I have my own car and I could go to your home, pick up your pet and give it a ride or a walk in some park or place you recommend me :)
Usually I make one hour walks with dogs and I could do it with 2 dogs at once if it's necessary.

Animals are friends to me, not just pets. They are companions and we have much to learn from the purity of their love.

I joined pet shake because I really enjoy being with dogs and cats, and currently the conditions do not allow me to have my own. So I have a lot of love to give them, and it's a good way to take daily walks. I'm happy to visit your pets if you need that, play with them and customize the visits according to their personality.
In addition to the usual tasks such as cleaning their spaces, changing their water and feeding them, I am happy to do additional tasks such as collecting the mail, taking out the bins and watering the plants.
