My name is Ebony Martinson, I am 21 and going into my 3rd year of studying Occupational Therapy at university. I am originally from the Riverland and relocated to Adelaide to commence studying at university. I also work at a local school as an OHSC educator.&nbsp;
My motivation to be a pet sitter is I have always loved animals, especially dogs. I have grown up with a dog and have loved taking care of her. Our beloved pet dog of 16 years recently passed away so I would love to be around other dogs and puppies.&nbsp;
I have house-sat for multiple different families and their dogs. I have looked after golden retrievers, kelpies, a beagle, a German shepherd x kelpie and a labradoodle, I have also looked after up to 2 dogs in one house. These dogs all required at least 1 walk a day, grooming, and lots of attention. I also ensured I took care of the houses whilst staying in them, keeping them clean and cleaning up after the dogs.

I'm a student currently doing my masters at the University of Adelaide. Raised a lot of pets, mostly cats and dogs. I have a cat back home, and my life revolved around him. I miss him deeply, and want to give a little bit of that love to other pets. I absolutely adore pets and as such, you can rest assured that I will care for them as I would my own.

A bit of background on me: After driving my parents crazy by constantly showing up at home with a new animal in need of a loving home, I decided to make the move from South Africa to Adelaide to pursue my passion for animal care in 2019. I have since earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour and a Certificate III in Dog Behaviour, Psychology and Training.&nbsp;
I've had many different types of pets over my 26 years, and am well versed in handling and caring for all dogs, cats, birds, rodents and reptiles (even the biiig snakes). 
Though I am new to Pawshake, I am certainly not new to the world of pet sitting. I have gained valuable experience working as a pet sitter and doggy daycare attendant for a local business.

Within my services I can administer oral medication to pets and teach them various tricks  Feed the pet as necessary. Pets are kept in hygienic conditions: any dirt is cleaned from the pet and the owner is informed of any signs of illness or injury. The length of my home visits depends on how much the owner needs me, the minimum is half an hour. The duration of the walks is half an hour. I am a qualified aged care worker and technical writer working from home in Adelaide/Hong Kong since 2021. Prior to that I worked and lived in Alice Springs NT for 10 years in tourism and travel industry. Haven worked as a travel consultant for helloworld Alice Springs for over 5 years, it was my previledge to travel extensively across Australia. However I'd love to keep travelling in a non-traditional way, that's why I looked into house sitting and I started working as a live in aged carer in Sydney for 6 months and to experience a very expensive city while generating an income. I love keeping my living environement very clean and comfortable, conscious about energy saving and water consumption. I don't drink and smoke. Usually I make one hour walks with dogs and I could do it with 2 dogs at once if it's necessary.

Animals are friends to me, not just pets. They are companions and we have much to learn from the purity of their love.

I joined pet shake because I really enjoy being with dogs and cats, and currently the conditions do not allow me to have my own. So I have a lot of love to give them, and it's a good way to take daily walks. I'm happy to visit your pets if you need that, play with them and customize the visits according to their personality.
In addition to the usual tasks such as cleaning their spaces, changing their water and feeding them, I am happy to do additional tasks such as collecting the mail, taking out the bins and watering the plants.
